Q: Hello 5i,
In response to Dale's question this morning about Alaris: when I read the press release I interpreted the comment about the $2 million in distributable cash to be some of the monies flowing from the partners to Alaris and not an increase in the distribution to shareholders. Perhaps their wording was a little ambiguous or perhaps I totally misinterpreted. Could you please confirm either way for me? I know they talked about their "run rate"? being under 90% now, but again, the wording left me a little confused as to whether that confirmed a shareholder distribution increase or not.
Thanks!!!
Cheers,
Mike
P.S. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all at 5i and the 5i community!!

Q: Hi can you please give a detailed opinion on the news coming out of alaris today including what is happening with the dividend thanks
Q: It looks like the year is going to finish with a lot of happy people. I'm not asking for a prediction but is this movement cyclical and if so what generally happens as the cycle progresses in the next few months?
I would like to thank 5i and all the question askers, I am learning every day with the many points of view.

Q: Can you please comment on the recent acquisition by WCP and do you view their expansion of production and debt a smart move? Keith
Q: This company based in Illinois has piqued my attention trading around $14. In the microphone space which I think will be imbedded in the AI revolution. Can you tell me if they are debt free and growing fast. Thanks.
Q: I am starting a Growth Portfolio with $100,000 to be phased in over three years. I purchased DOL and SHOP with each 5% weighting, or $5000 each. What weightings should I consider for each of ECN, GSY, OTEX, PHO? (These positions will be in my TFSA and held for the long-term, more than 5 years.) Are there any other positions that I should consider at this time and if so, what weighting?
.PS...I currently hold KXS and GUD in my balanced portfolio.

Q: Looking over the previous questions on UFS you note debt his a bit too high and little growth has been observed.
1) If we assume online shopping trend strengthens do you think this will increase UPS’s profitability?
2) Does UPS produce the cardboard used to make packaging?
3) Assuming UPS produces newsprint do you think any strengthening in cardboard prices will will be matched with weakness in newsprint prices leading to zero net gain (or worse)?
4) Does UPS own their electricity generation infrastructure and if so is it fully utilized or do they have surplus which could be sold?
5) How vulnerable is UPS to competition from other companies?
I note since the last question in August UPS’s share price has increased by about $8 and set a new high on December 15th on rising volume. Momentum seems to be swinging to the positive.
Thanks,
Jim

I'm looking to add few names to my growth fund. I already own many of your suggestions. How do you feel about DSG, BDT, CJT and CAE? From a growth perspective for 2 to 3 years, do you like them? Would you invest here? How would you rank them?
Thanks,
Dennis

I could go through your report section and generate that list for myself ... but you have how many prescribers? That's a lot of hours if each of has did that. Instead, could 5i generate that for us?
