Q: Hi, I have had GUD 6% of portfolio at B.E.$8.00 for about 3 years and have finally decided I’am tired of waiting with a large portion , with no dividend. Do you recommend selling all or keeping 2-3%?
Also,do you think qst down 40% , has any chance of getting back to break even in the next couple of years? It seems weak even when the market Is strong?
Thanks

Q: Hi all, I'm concerned about some of my holdings based on the rising US Covid19 cases. As such would like to raise my cash position for the eventual pullback in USA market. Please select from my list the first to last to sell or reduce in order. Thanks for all you do.

Q: Hello 5i Team,
Could you please tell me the names of the companies that are developing a vaccine against Covid 19. Is there an ETF that tracks them?
Thanks,

Q: I’m looking for exposure to gold bullion and am considering GLD (SPDR has .40% mer), PHYS (Sprott), IAU (ishares gold trust has .25% mer) or MNT.CA. Which one do you prefer and why, (I’ve read stricter auditing for PHYS)? Also should I be buying in USD or CAD? Looking for protection against money printing and a general hedge or if USD losses it’s position as world reserve currency.

Q: hello 5i Research team,
I am currently cash only in my usd account. I have enough cash for one position. I have already well diversified portfolios exclusively in Canadian stocks and I am a long term investor. What 5 stocks would you recommend I buy in order of preference please? Thank you for your collaboration, Eric

Q: I will soon be collecting OAS. Due to a decent pension plan, investments, etc., some of it will be clawed back. My question is what to do about dividend stocks, both Canadian and American. Should I be migrating my high paying dividend stocks to my registered accounts, which will reduce my net income, and therefore reduce the claw-back? The more detailed your answer the better (use as many credits as required).

Q: ICad was added to the russel 2000 today yet dropped nearly 5%. Aren’t new additions to an index supposed to trigger a buy?
The company has been on a downtrend over last month. Any news to account for this? Do you still like? I understand it is very high risk.

Q: Hello 5i Team
Is there a website where I can download the CUSIP and/or ISIN for Canadian Preferred Shares and/or other securities?
I am trying to analyse the holdings of CPD/RPF/ZPR and each one presents the holdings with different information (CPD has the CUSIP, RPF has neither, ZPR has the ISIN), none of them indicate the underlying TSE stock symbol and the security description is extremely truncated (mostly company name).
Some of the company websites have the CUSIP and/or ISIN, however the majority do not. Short of emailing the investor relations department do you suggest any other means?
How successful are you in receiving answers from investor relations representatives?
Thanks

Q: Hello 5i.
I am considering LIFE (hedged to $ Cdn) for a TFSA. I believe it is Canadian domiciled (despite it's holdings being almost entirely US/International equities) but I am not sure. To cut to the chase, would the dividend be prey to the US withholding tax?

Thanks in advance......Martin

P.S. I do not buy anything without first getting 5i's opinion.

Q: Hi,
There seems to be a law suit against KL with a hearing ,I believe , at a US Federal court.
I am not sure if you could elaborate further over and above what we already know. If you could, that would be great. My question is on the credibility of management. Could you share your thoughts, if any, as I am a shareholder.

Thanks

Q: Hello 5i team,
What is your take at this point for Gildan? How much cash do they have on hand?

I bought around the same time as your recommendation ($49.33). At the current price of ~$20.50, would you be reviewing this holding or are you still quite comfortable until the world returns to normal. When is the next quarter?

Thank You,
Andrew
