Q: Hi Team,
Can you comment on GSY earnings and the company in general? To me they appear to be record with great growth. Their model seems to be almost flawless with almost a limitless runway ahead in Canada with very little competition in their market. They now appear to also be benefiting from the new interest rate law as smaller competition is getting wiped out and they gain market share. I look at their market cap of only 2B...then I look at the revenue coming in. The valuation don't make sense to me. The company seems so cheaply valued by the market in my opinion. They keep executing, the loan book is now climbing at a exponential rate over the last couple years. It seems more and more people are needing their services. Do you think eventually they will take the company private? Or possible some private equity firm comes in and buys them out and keeps the dividend for themselves? With the numbers they are now putting out it appears like the company could buy itself out in only a few years. Am I correct in all this bullish view or what am I missing here? Appreciate the feedback!

I was looking at the share price graph of KEY this morning. On your 5i Interactive chart it shows the price as $30.19 as of Sept 01, 2014. However TD Waterhouse shows the price as $49.92 for Sept 01 2014 and Yahoo shows the price as $49.13 for Aug 31 2014 so they agree.
This is a HUGE difference.
According to 5i I have broken even but according to TDWaterhouse and Yahoo I have lost a lot of money. Which do I believe? It makes it very hard to judge historical capital gains and makes it really hard to judge whether a company is worth investing in. I doubt that many people reinvest the dividends back into the same company which I think is what the 5i chart does.
What counts is what you actually paid. Please explain
If I had bought shares in September 2014 which price would I have paid?

Q: I know you hold this company in the Model Growth Portfolio. I have a small holding and it is down around 70%. My plan was to continue to hold and hope it improves as the macroenvironment improves. With the stock price so low now, I hope it has hit bottom. On the other hand, I do need some losses this year to offset gains. I assume by tendering my shares via the auction, I can avoid any broker fees? What are your thoughts on continuing to hold versus tendering shares via their auction?
