Q: I have just read a new article with a doomsday comment about another financial crisis being on its way. "The same problems that caused the financial crisis are back". I understand that no one can really predict things but given the strong upward trends that we have seen one could expect some sort of correction. To take a conservation approach how should one adjust their investment distribution. What sectors are less affected? and would ETF's or mutual funds be safer that stocks? What about bonds? This is probably worth a couple of credits. Thank you, Doug

Q: With all the talk with electric cars (tesla) what companies should i focus on that will provide the electricity to charge these cars, charging stations, and unique components used in these types of cars. Long term thinking.

Q: do you recommend reducing exsposure from USA and Canadian stocks and add a bit of European and Emerging market and if so what mutual funds or stocks would you recommend that are available on the Canadian or usa markets that would accomplish this

Q: I am a retired, conservative dividend-income investor. I own the above stocks plus ZLB, XIT, RBC Cdn Equity Inc, Sentry Cdn Inc, Sentry REIT, Fisgard Capital, Insured Annuities and receive a company pension and CPP. Assume a well diversified portfolio.

Question # 1 = do you see any stocks-ETFs-MFs of concern in the above list?

Question # 2 = I'd like to add one of the following: KBL, NFI, NWC, ZCL. I am looking for a safe, growing dividend, some capital appreciation and liquidity. Can you please provide your ranking and why.

Q: I heard on BNN, where Americans aren't buying Canadian Oil & Gas stocks. Viper put out a statement where there production is up 23% over first quarter & 95% yoy. Average price $73.64 down 10% Quarter one, but because of increased production, their cash flow is up & increased dividend 10%. Stock price has basically traded sideways over this years spanned & didn't have any momentum on the announcement. Undoubtedly I am missing something again. Appreciate your comment on Viper. Thanks

Q: Hi, just a follow-up regarding adding to a KHW.UN position:
I just noticed 2nd quarter financials will be released August 14. Would you recommend to wait to add until after 2nd quarter is released just in case they didn't meet/beat their expected earnings? Or do you add regardless being comfortable that they will be in-line with expectations?
