Q: Dear 5i,
I initially purchased BIP.UN on the Canadian exchange and "journalled" it to BIP on the American exchange because BIP.UN pays a dividend in US dollars.
When BIPC gets created from BIP.UN:
1. will BIPC be traded on the Canadian exchange?
2. will BIPC pay dividends in Canadian dollars?
thanks and season greetings!

Q: When is the next quarterly report for TSGI, and what are the expected numbers compared to the last period? Also, can you provide similar numbers for Flutter and the date expected?
Thank you, and happy holidays to all.

Q: Is January 2nd the first day that it will trade under a new symbol?
If we have BYD.UN, will it will be about a week that we see
it in our accounts. I think it take about a week for the shares to enter our account with
the new symbol?

Q: Hi,
Can you please let me know your opinion on this ? I know this has been beaten down and this may not fit in your investment style. However based on the cash in hand and net assets do you think it's trading less than it's book value , ignoring other factors such as law suits, possible re-instatement of the licence, etc. Thanks

Q: Hi,
I am looking for a suitable replacement for Dream Global. What are your thoughts on European Residential Re Investment Trust as a replacement based on its current price?
Or, would you recommend a different one (outside Canada/USA)?
Thanks,
Craig

Power Financial Corporation (PWF $36.31)
-
Power Corporation of Canada Subordinate Voting Shares (POW $56.82)
Q: I use the BTSX system in two of my portfolios. Its soon time to adjust for the new year. I have held PWF for a number of years due to its higher yield over POW.
I understand PWF will be merging with POW-any idea when?
Will that mean no more PWF? Will all shares be now be POW at the lower yield?
Will there be a premium for PWF shares?
Would you suggest a switch if there are still going to be two companies? Why?
Thanks
Jeff

Q: I was thinking of buying this for income before Brookfield bought CBB. It is still trading below par but I am concerned, that Brookfield could somehow "convert" the prefs to their common stock (BIP). I am not worried about it being called. Is this possible or am I being irrational?
Thanks
Thanks

Brookfield Global Infrastructure Securities Income Fund (BGI.UN $5.96)
Q: Bgi recently announced a change to the fund manager. Is this a good or indifferent change? Also, the fund has done quite well recently is there a reason such as recent buy back of shares or us this increase sustainable. Along with Bgi I also own Bip.un In the same riff account ( as a result of the Enercare takeout) I wonder if I should own both or is there an overlap?
Q: I'm a bit confused. Rumors say SHOP may be taken over by ??? Ebay, or others.
SHOP may be interested in acquiring FEDEX.
What is an investor to believe in any of this. On one hand if taken over there might be a 40% premium on their shares. On the other hand there will be a big hit on the shares if they buy FEDEX. How can there be such conflicting opinions/views/rumors/thoughts on this company?
What are 5i's opinions/views/rumors/thoughts?
Thanks

Q: Hi,
What's your thoughts on FTT? I've held it for several years and I'm flat. Is there a better pick in this sector?
Thanks
Robert
