Q: Can you please tell me what the difference is between BN and BAM? What one is better/why did they split it out?

Q: I'm at looking at the following companies to invest in next; how would you rank them based on current values?

Q: I think I know the answer but can you confirm that the payment from this is considered interest and not a dividend by CRA? With that in mind what are your top picks for yield and capital preservation with a dividend yield to save taxes?

Q: It's time to add to my TFSA. I own ADBE, GOOG, AAPL, NVDA, PYPL, QCOM, CRM and TOL in this account, where longterm growth is the investment objective. Should any of these be switched? Please recommend replacements if so and ignore sector/market cap considerations. I wish to add to either NVDA or PYPL, which of these should I add to? Deduct as many credits as required. Q: Why has the last year been so tough for SLF? Shouldn't they benefit from higher interest rates?

Q: I don't understand. A recent 5i answer on AQN stated:
"On an operating cash flow basis, the dividend was still coverered in the 12 months to Sept 30."
As I look at the Balance & Income Sheets as of Q3:
Working capital is $-579,890,000
Net income for the 3 quarters this year is $-182,000,000.

AQN will payout $0.92 per share in dividends for the year. They've already committed to $0.22 for Q4
676 million shares x $0.92 = $616,400,000 payable in dividends for the 2022 year ($154,000,000 to be paid in Q4)

Somehow, somewhere isn't it true that the dividend payments must be impacting that negative working capital, the negative net income, the increasing debt amount and increasing interest to service the debt? In essence, aren't the dividends coming from borrowing, whether directly or indirectly?

Just a few questions on FSZ. It seems that the stock has been in a holding pattern for the past 2.5 years. Where is the payout ratio at these days with the stock? Has the AUM increased or decreased in the last few quarters?

Are you still confident of this stock in the income portfolio?

Q: Wondering if you can help me figure this out Peter,

Bought 360shares of BAM.A at $54.62. Spin off took place and I ended up with 90 shares of Bam and 360 shares of BN. In making my calculations after everything is settled, it looks like Today I am sitting at roughly $19,678 - original investment was 19,680.

Is this a sell, hold or buy right now??? Its a little confusing for a simpleton such as me.

Q: I am a 76 year old income investor. 3% of my portfolio is held in BIP, BIPC and BEP. I just sold my CU for my RRIF withdrawal. I now have about $40,000 with which to invest in our TFSA accounts. Analytics shows I need 5% more of healthcare, industrials and technology. I am thinking of adding BIPC.TO. and/or CPX to replace the CU. Please provide other income ideas.
