Q: The current dividend yield on Telus is close to 7.75% at the market close Aug 1. High dividend yield is a red flag. Is this dividend sustainable? Is it a red flag and if so why?

Q: With all the tariffs bouncing around, I decided to work another year after starting my CPP and OAS. Although I took 30% tax off both, I still got nailed for taxes because I made too much.
I plan to purchase RRSPs to counter this for next year but I just want to make sure I can still buy RRSPs after 65 years of age. Is that correct?
I realize I'll eventually have to move it all into a RIF by 71.

Q: Brookfield was a significant beneficiary of large investments in clean power from the tech giants. Do you see other utilities in Canada or US benefiting similarly in the future? It seems that the utilities space offers a potentially stable growth space going forward with power demand going up. Q: Could you please explain the inter-relationship between these two stocks? I realize one is incorporated etc but I am interested in their holdings, especially because 1. BEPC is outperforming and 2. There are large US contracts that are shaping their business. It was my understanding that each had their own different contracts but they were essentially the same company at a high level. Are they impacted differently by their contracts with Google and Microsoft or will they both benefit equally? Are their operational strategies any different?

Q: Hi There,
I prefer not to buy DLR to convert from CAD to USD because of high MER and I don't mind holding the security for awhile before selling in my USD account. Can you suggest an alternative which is a dual listed CAD stock as a possible DLR replacement that has these characteristics; good trading volume, low bid/ask spread, low volatility, no dividend etc.
