Q: Hello Peter,
I hold Berkshire in my rrsp and in the sad event Warren Buffet passes away, i do not see any tax implications (assuming the company splits or has spinoffs) until i withdraw money from the RRSP. I am thinking of investing in the CDR for Berkshire class B shares in my TFSA, Would there be any tax implications if the company structure changed? Thanks very much.

Q: BRK.B What did you think of the quarterly earnings and what would you consider a good entry price?

Q: I haven’t been receiving market updates for a while so unfortunately I’ve missed a few buy/sell recommendations. I received my last question reply but not much else (checked spam folder as well). Was there a change recently to the email updates? My email hasn’t changed.

Thanks

Q: Hi There,

I own the first 3 companies in equal weightings and have done reasonably well with each. I’d like to buy AVGO but I need to sell one of the three.

All things considered which 1 do you think I should sell with a 5 year horizon.

Thank you!

Q: Being that the USD is quite high right now, what would be the best out of these three HHL ETFs to buy this fall? I have Canadian dollars so would be moving the money to USD to buy HHL.U. From their site it looks like the HHL.B is the best performer overall but I'm not clear how today's rates effect price etc.

Also would it make sense to have another fund like VHT or IYH to compliment HHL, which would give more upside over time? In one response you like VHT better - why is that?
Thanks so much!

Q: Given all of the conflicting factors around the world and domestically, I am trying to organize my thinking regarding the energy sector. Can 5i please lay out some of the important issues and catalysts that may affect how we meet our energy needs in the near future. Can you also provide your thinking about the near term events that will specifically affect the North American energy industry? Including the new pipelines coming on stream shortly.

Take as many points as needed. Thank you,

Mike
