Q: I'm down on a full position in VET and thinking of swapping it for a reduced position in SU partially for the capital loss, partially to reduce my full energy holdings but also for more stability with SU. I think SU is vertically more diversified and bigger and therefore better for a conservative retired investor like me. Does this sound like a reasonable plan or should I just hold cash and rebuy VET in 30 days and go on enjoying the higher dividend it offers?

Another reason the Su interests me is that VET's high dividend is nice but worries me. Other times I've held on to a company with a high dividend I have ended up with a capital loss that far outweighs the accumulated dividends. I would like to know if you consider VET's or SU's dividends "safer"? What might cause either of them to cut their dividend.

Q: WEF seems to be in a free fall, it lost almost 25% of value in less than 2 months. I currently have 4% position in WEF, down about 20%. What is your opinion of WEF near and long term prospects? Do you see it as a buy, hold, or sell at current prices?

Q: Shopify has continued to record new highs almost every week. Do you think the fundamentals and growth potential support this or is it moving because it is a very popular stock. I have sold half my position and am wondering if it is time to sell the rest. Thank you.

Q: When researching companies, do you ever take ESG risks into consideration? If so how do you factor this into your process? Are there any metrics you consider significant in identifying potential alpha?

i think they beat a lot on revenue, but the loss was more than expected.
their guidance looks ok.

Just wanted to let Stuart know that people in the North used to order many things on Amazon until the company started charging for deliveries a few years ago. All Amazon shopping stopped after that as the cost of shipping often was more than that of the item itself. I am not an investor in NWC, but I can assure you that they have a stronghold in most of the communities North of the 60. I live in the Arctic!

I currently have fixed income as 30% of my portfolio, made up right now of ZAG and CPD (15% each). CPD is dripping and within a few more months of contributions ZAG will be too. Once they are both dripping, what would be the next Canadian-listed fixed income ETF you would add to compliment those two? Thanks in advance.

Q: Could you give some ideas, refer some websites and books regarding how to select an ETF. I need to give a presentation for learning purpose in a share club meeting. Feel free to subtract additional credits if needed.

Q: The performance of ZLB has strongly outperformed VCN over the short and long term. ZLB will likely survive a recession better then holding VCN. If I own both, should i just sell VCN and own ZLB but would their be a case to own VCN instead? thanks
