Q: Going through all your portfolios looking for a high(er) growth stock with a dividend >1 that I don't already own. Can you please rate the following on a scale of 1-10 (1 being low) for both growth and risk over the next 12-18 months: MG, SLF, PKI, TFI, CCL, PLC, GSY, OTEX. (I note that all but SLF are currently rated 'strong buy'.) And if you have two clear favourites in the preceding list, I would appreciate those being noted separately. Thank you.
Q: Hello,
We have a 2.5-year-old named Victoria, aka 'Toe-Toe'. We are Canadian, and looking for some recommendations for balanced ETFs (or index funds) that we can purchase every two weeks for her RESP. They should have a low/no/reasonable MER, probably more exposure to the US, than Canada, and if possible a dividend so we can start a DRIP. Your suggestions are appreciated. Thanks,
Go, Jets, Go!

Q: Does this company has a good chance of becoming a Lithium producer in the U.K. where it has a lot of land in Cornwall that is supposed to be mineral rich? It recently had a successful private placement. Thank you.
Q: It's been a while (mid-November) since there was a Q&A on this former favourite. It's up about 10% since then. Would you kindly offer your current views? Do you think it is suitable going forward as a 'slow and steady' stock for a buy-and-hold type of investor. Thanks in advance.
Q: Hello, as a recovery play and between these 2 movies chains, which one has the best balance sheet not to go bankrupt ? Do you think financial risk is too high ? Which one has the most recovery potential after the pandemic is over and finally which one would you side with if you had to invest money and why ? Thanks
Q: This stock has come off quite a bit post earnings and down from its high. What impact do you expect the lock up period expiry to have on the stock and would you initiate a position now or wait until after?
Q: With both having a bit of a drop today which one would you choose of the two, thanks.
Q: Would you see today’s price share drop as a buying opportunity or would you wait for volatility to settle down?
Q: Good morning. I currently have positions with MFC, SLF and GWO but GWO was a recent purchase just to see how it performed against the other two which I have held for many years. Based on some of my research it appears that Sunlife manages better through pullbacks and downturns historically however if I were also looking at Dividend Yields, currently MFC and GWO are higher. However I try to look at:
1. Growth rate ( ie EPS growth);
2. Dividend Yield Growth and;
3. Forward Valuation
as best as possible when I look at a company. I don't want or believe I need all three and would appreciate your input as to how you would rank them based on the three criteria I've noted.
Thanks,
Kevin

Q: What gold mining companies are attractive judged by their NAV?
Q: What are your thoughts on BL earnings. Stock is down 15%. Is it still buy, hold or sell. I still hold half position and sold half last week due to run-up. I am still up 30% should I continue to hold, buyback half position, or sell.
Thanks for the great service

Q: Can I please have your thoughts on this company and any explanation for its recent strength. Do you see potential here?
Thank you.
Thank you.
Q: I own these 2 majors and I'm up 15-20% on them so far. My question is that many people are now talking about value stocks and that energy and financials are good plays. It seems like a lot of people believe energy might be entering a multi year bull market (Eric Nutall!). I've traded these over the last few years since they always seem to pop and then go back down with political climate or economic sensitivity. How do you know if this time is different? I don't want to sell too early, but I don't think $100 oil is coming back.
Thanks,
Jason

Q: I like the concept of HCAL; investing in Canadian banks with a little extra torque and a higher dividend yield than any of the banks. Is it fine as a long-term hold? I know many of the leveraged ETF's are not suitable for long-term but understand the structure of this one is different. Can you please explain the difference between this and the double and triple levered ETF's.
Do you recommend HCAL for long-term bank exposure.

Q: Could you provide your assessment of this company. I understand this is an Israeli company involved in plant proteins. Is it worth investing in this company. Also, why is this down 15% today? Thanks
