Q: Before deploying more dollars to BX, what are other headwinds (apart from the usual suspects of inflation, recession etc) that the market is seeing that is driving down the share price. How would you rate BX vs peers such as BLK or BAM for long term (divd, capital) appreciation

Q: Hello Peter,
Can you please comment on good natured results? Is it fair to say Blackstone is more for income oriented investors given its dividend and Blackrock is more for growth oriented investors. Also, would be better to diversify into both instead of picking one as i already own fair amount of BAM? Is Manulife worth a hold for long term given its decent dividend? thanks very much

Q: As a follow-up to Harry's question of June 2/22, can I ask why you rank the three companies as BAM, BX, BLK in that order? I own BLK and wonder what makes it the least attractive of the three. Thank you,

Q: Looking at one of these conglomerates in my US Spousal Rsp. All seem similar in their business mix however, BX offers higher dividend and has the largest market cap. BLK seems to offer an outsized dividend and trades accordingly.
Question, for a long term Rsp hold, which of the three is most compelling

Q: I am doing some investing planning.
Objectives are to reduce risks and to capture more dividend income.

Part of this process entails looking for companies that are ( almost) too big to fail - recognizing that nothing is totally safe. bam.a, bro.b, bx

As a category or label would you:
1. Agree that the companies above are “ conglomerates “? ( or something else?)
2. Are they “ almost “ too big to fail?
3. Are there others I missed? .. especially something you like better?

Thanks as a for your helpfulness.

Q3. What are your thoughts on holding BAM and BX in equal amounts.

Q: Curious to hear your thoughts about CET:NYSE, Central Securities, as a potential 5- to 10-year hold for diversification, some income and capital appreciation. Also, would it make sense to hold this in addition to BRK.B, BX, and a few ETFs (VGRO, VTV, VWO)? Thank you!

Q: Hi
Is there an American stock or 2 that you would consider the same as Bam
I really like Bam but it is starting to take a higher % of my total portfolio.
Thanks Terry

Q: I have a position in BAM and am thinking of increasing it or adding a new position in BX to enhance my diversification. Does BX offer a range of different assets compared to BAM, or am I simply doubling up? Is now a good time for a purchase of either BAM or BX? Thanks.

Q: Good morning,

My plan is to purchase $50K of BX:US in my US$ non registered account but have insufficient US$ in my US$ non registered account to complete the transaction.

To save on the currency exchange cost, I'm thinking of purchasing approx $60K of ENB.CA and then journal the stock to my US$ non registered account.
Once ENB:CA has been journaled to my US$ non registered account, I would then sell the ENB:US stock and purchase BX:US for a long term hold.

Question1: Is ENB:CA a good candidate for this strategy?
Question 2: What are your thoughts on purchasing BX:US for a long term hold?
Thank you for your insight on this.
