Q: Good morning 5i Team:
My question regarding the six companies mentioned is about Equity by Geographical location.
Lets say I only have the aforementioned companies in my portfolio.
With the exception of BCE, all the other companies have a portion and sometimes a sizeable amount of their revenue coming from US or International divisions.
From the Equity by Geography scenarios I have seen; this portfolio would be considered 100% Canadian.
Am I misunderstanding this or should some of this portfolio be considered US or International even though all companies are Canadian.
Thank you as always for your concise, informative and professional advice. Wouldn't have the confidence to be a DIY investor without 5i.

Q: What would be your top picks for a mid-large cap Canadian dividend growth stock to buy today in a non reg account?
I have enough for 2 half positions or one full @5%
Pipelines are looking interesting from an income standpoint but momentum is negative.

Thank you!

Q: My son is in his early 20s and building a portfolio based on your balanced portfolio. He currently holds 11 stocks. He has no industrials, communications and only TOY in the consumer space. We are thinking of selling ADN from his TFSA and replacing it with SIS or PBH as we know you recommend growth stocks in a TFSA. He also has MX in the material sector. Is this a good plan, not necessary, or do you have another suggestion from the above list that you think is better? Thanks

Q: Hello, I have just read "Why It’s Almost Impossible to be a Passive Investor in Canada" by Ryan, very informative article. I realize that my portfolio is underweight in the industrials sector. Could you suggest 3 or 4 names in Canada and in the US respectively? I am looking for good mid or big cap companies with growing dividend if possible. This is for long term investment. Regards, Gervais

Q: NFI seems especially weak these days. The lower backlog seems a relatively minor issue. Of course investor sentiment is just something one has to live with. That being said do you think a strengthening Canadian dollar (against the US dollar) will impact revenues? The company seems well diversified with manufacturing facilities on both sides of the border. I suppose if they report revenue in Canadian dollars but receive it in US dollars there will be less revenue when the US dollars are converted into Canadian dollars. May I have your thoughts?
Thanks as always
Jim
