Q: globeinvestor gold service had a great mutual fund sorter with any options you would want. They have since changed there service to globe investor and have nothing near to what they had.

do you know who has the best service to check mutual funds by sorting options

Q: Hi Guys,
I'm looking to put together a 5 year bond ladder through my discount brokerage, this is purely for downside protection, I would want to draw on the money if there was an extended downturn in the market to avoid having to sell positions mainly in dividend stocks that I'm holding for the long haul. My question is it worth building a ladder myself, or should I buy ETF's, with different approaches i.e. government or corporate bonds, do you have and suggestions for a one stop shop approach, my original thought was 50k spread over a 5yr ladder.

Which Canadian Dividend ETF's do you recommend, The main choices I have been looking at are CDZ, XDV, XEI, VDY, ZDV. I Currently hold CDZ and XDV.

Q: I would like to add 1-2 US companies in each of the following sectors to help improve my portfolio diversify my portfolio: Healthcare, communication services and utilities. Q: Hi. My only gold holding is about 1% in KL. My cost was $25.05, so I have been watching it rise for quite some time, and now it is falling fast. BMO Advise Direct, has it as an 83% buy, but their chart advises caution for long term investors, because of the drop. I know that Mr. Sprott has left, but all other gold stocks are dropping in uniform, also. I'd hate to have to sell it now. Can you gaze into your crystal ball for me, and perhaps estimate a bottom, as I'd like to add to the position, as a recessionary hedge in the years ahead.

Q: I am interested in two ETFs from Dynamic iShares. Both are actively managed and both have limited history but the history they have is impressive. DXU is US oriented and DXG is global (the global fund has extensive US holding so may not be appropriate for diversification). I was wondering if you at 5i had any comments.
