Q: John O'Connell commented at the money show that ENB is a ponzi scheme based on its overpaying dividends and then having to go to the market to raise the necessary capital to complete their capex plans. Sounds a little harsh. Comment?

Q: TU closed yesterday at $20.46 US. The IPO is set at $25.00. Are the shares different. What is the relative rights and terms between the two. The new issue does not seem to be impacting the valuation of TU ?
Q: I have been looking at this for some time and it (appears to me anyway) a great way to get broad exposure to the banks with some limited leverage. What is your take on this ETF??
Q: I am considering MFI for a consumer defensive position and wonder what your take on the company is - buy or avoid or wait? I have also thought about Loblaws. Which, if either, is a good choice?

Q: Hi- can you provide analysis of the company - especially in light of financing
today.

Q: One of my financial advisors moved from TD to Canaccord. Got me wondering if I should sell the TD shares I own in my self managed account and buy Canaccord.
Also a comment to Garth who is having trouble contacting TD WebBroker, I contact them through their phone app with much better results.

Q: I handle my 40 year old daaughters portfolio. In her $170,000 balanced portfolio which is equally balanced, BYD has grown to 13%, LSPD to 19% and SHOP to 7.5%. The funds are not required for any other purpose than growing the income for retirement. We are not too concerned about the downside of these. Still, 5i keeps insisting that a maximum to hold for equities shwould be 5%. Should we trim and put the excess else where and if so could you suggest where or keep on with no change. We are comfortabl with this. Thank you

Q: Would you consider PEP a re-opening security? It reports on February 11, 2021 . Do you expect performance above consensus?
Do you have Forward P/E and PEG? I have PEG at 6.6 . But ROE *seems* over 50% . Is that the correct correct ROE? If yes, PEG at 6.6 does not look right.
Analysts are awfully lukewarm on the business. Is PEP worth holding on to if one is looking for for both modest growth, and dividend, or do you expect PEP to act more like a bond going forward?

Q: The company is advertising on BNN, I assume they are looking to raise money in the near future. They use the buzz words AI and Healthcare. Is this company on your radar or not worthy?
Q: Not a question but perhaps an answer for Garth and others re TD Waterhouse problems. I finally got thru on the phone after at least an hour AND MANY TRIES and they suggest using their APP...and that people have told them that it is acting better than the conventional path. However the phones remain an issue...and that they are working on improving the issue....(ya right! ).

Q: The top ten positions in my equity portfolio represent 30% of the portfolio. Among these top ten are TD, BAM, BAC and JPM. The financial sector represents 27.5% of the equity portfolio and the 5i analysis suggests that this be reduced to 15%. I am a new 5i client and don’t disagree with the direction the model is suggesting. Other holdings in the financial sector are: BMO, BNS,CG,C,MFC,PYPL,PNC,RY,SLF,BX,X,V. This is a bit messy but adding to the sector in the spring seemed like and was a good idea but now we need to be more conventional. I may be very wrong but I don’t consider BAM and X as financial services, particularly BAM. Looking at the holdings, what would you unload to bring down the financial sector exposure? Obviously a tax filter will be needed at my end. The question for another day will be an ask for recommendations to increase the under-weighted sectors. Having fun with the model and more importantly find it useful.

Q: I am a longterm holder in GPN wondering if it is time to gradually move on within the electronic payments space. Perhaps recent performance is just a stall from frothy heights or are they being pushed out by new entrants? Is GPN still the payments processor for some of the new service providers? I am not looking to jump on the fastest horse more looking for a reasonable expection of steady growth. GPN appears to have low recent growth, low ROE yet good margins. I also own Visa, Paypal and Ipay.
Thanks for your service, stay safe

Q: I have seen a couple of questions on TD Waterhouse lately. I too have been experiencing problems. Unable to trade online for 9 days now and put on hold every day for 2 hours before being automatically hung up on for 9 days straight using the telephone .....The only thing I can think of is to contact another bank and have them transfer the account to their service . I suspect they will be able to contact where I cannot. Just checked several bank trading sites and they are reporting unusual wait times which makes me suspect I may not get through to them either... Any idea what is going on ? And advice on how to proceed ?
Q: Hi there, wondering about your thoughts on the potential for MSGE and when you think it's business' will really get moving? If that's in six months or so perhaps it's a buy now?
