Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: Hi - of these two, which do you prefer for a growth mindset. Having said that, please feel free to say that you wouldn't invest in either at this time/prices. Lastly, do you see a possibility for AGF to be taken over (obviously with the blessing of the Goldring Family).

Q: I gambled on these 4 energy stocks last year and other than Pine Cliff Energy I'm down around about 1/3. I'm thinking of averaging down. What would you do if you owned these 4?

Q: Can I please have your thoughts re this company. It is about 6-7 months that the stock has been pretty flat - not moving much in either direction. I believe that at one time there may have been (and possibly still is) an offer on the table? I am wondering if it is time to move on... Thanks.

Q: TMP will be up and running end of February
890,000 barrels a day.

Who will benefit the most ? Will it be Heavy Oi ?
Noticed the spread from WTI and Select is starting to narrow.
This is good for our Oil Industry. ?

Who will buy TMP from Government. First Nations or a Utility or someone else.

It will have a huge price tag. Your thoughts please

Q: Two questions,
Most Reits have not performed well in the last year,I hold Riocan and it seems to have done worse than most. I want some exposure to real estate going forward-Would it be a good idea to switch to another Reit at this time?If so,any suggestions?

FIE has done well for me,but has high management fee's. Would it be prudent to switch to something a little safer with lower fee's,like CPD or? Thankyou

Q: Good afternoon,

The Globe and Mail reported that the Trans Mountain pipeline is scheduled to start in Feb 25.

Although the news of the opening is already baked into the market, are there any undervalued energy stocks that you could recommend as a good addition to the energy sector of a well diversified portfolio that may well benefit from the opening of the Trans Mountain pipeline in the next few years?

Tank you and I'll await your recommendations.

Q: hi,
I own these as a basket of these smaller renewable stocks ( I own other larger names including Brookfield renew. as well ). the share price of these is struggling. what are your current thoughts on the balance sheets, growth prospects etc. If possible could you rate as a buy, hold, sell, and flag any that are in significant financial difficulty. my feelings are to just hold them all, perhaps a few get takeover offers, and prices move up when rates go down?
cheers, chris
