Q: Hello 5i Team,
Given the recent drop in dividend stocks, I'm planning to set up a long-term income portfolio in a non-registered commission-free account. I realize your income portfolio would be a good place to start. However, I'm wondering if you could suggest 20 Canadian stocks, with a minimum yield of 3.5%, that you would purchase NOW. This list could include ETFs.
While the primary goal is income, I'm also looking for some long-term growth or, at the very least, to maintain my principal investment.
Also, I do realize the Canadian stock market does not allow for full sector diversification.
Please subtract as many credits as you see fit.
Thanks in advance for your always helpful advice!
