Q: What are you top picks (US or Canada) related to renewable or green energy? Is it too late to get in to some names?

Q: Hi Team,
I'd like to start positions in an aggressive growth portfolio in the artificial intelligence, genomics, renewable energy (and EV) sectors (2-3 positions per sector). Holding time 2-5 years.
Also considering Bionano Genomics (BNGO).
1. Please rank the sectors for expected growth. Are there any others I should consider? Are they already overbought/overpriced?
2. Please rank the stocks in each sector for expected growth. Are there any others I should consider?
Thanks!

Q: HI 5i Team. I really appreciate your comments that speak to opportunities/areas or perhaps "themes" where you currently see good growth opportunities now and in the coming years. Some commentators have pointed to themes such as EV and materials that support EV, clean tech generally, changes in healthcare, etc. What would you consider to be some of the better investing themes right now (say 3 or 4?) and what would some of your suggestions right now for some good Canadian and good US stock selections within each, with growth in mind over a roughly 5 year horizon in a TFSA. I already have positions in LSPD, WELL, XBC and QST, and I plan to acquire AZT next. So I would be interested in hearing about your ideas and suggestions that might provide some additional diversification into other areas. Thanks very much - take as many question credits as necessary.

Q: There will have to be a significant electrical buildout to facilitate a wide based conversion to EV. Everything from Power Production thru both new and upgraded Distribution to Charging Facilities and their components and other electrical elements I haven't thought of will benefit.
Who will be the biggest beneficiaries?
Will there be be clear winners in power production, presumably among renewable energy companies? What about their suppliers?
Will distribution equipment suppliers like GE and Siemens be rejuvenated? Who's best in class in their sector - one of them, Mitsubishi or?
In Electrical Distribution is there any clear leader or is it so decentralized that all the Fortis' and NEE's etc. benefit.
Will ATD.B and its competitors actually see growth in facilities and same store sales etc.
To what extent will energy storage be required and at what stage?

Thank you, Hugh

Q: Following the presidential debate it sounds like Biden has a fairly aggressive stance towards a switch to clean energy. Also, he seems intent on renewing spending on infrastructure. I already hold Algonquin and ICLN in the so called clean energy sector. Any others i should look at there? And what might profit from infrastructure spending, should Biden win.
Thanks

Q: Good morning 5i,
With the European green deal and Biden's plans to attack climate change, should result in solar panel and wind power installations, and with so much money being allocated to infrastructure projects, which companies could benefit from these two investments by Governments..
Thanks you for your much appreciated help.

Q: TAN is identified as a solar energy ETF but while it has been parabolic of late I cannot find solar energy participants which would support that sort of move. Can you identify from where/which participants TAN has got its recent momentum please. Thank you
