Q: Hi Team,

I am a real estate investor and I have been for the last 15 years. Real estate is my passion and I enjoy it very much. I am trying to balance this with investing in the stock market. I enjoy researching companies, but I don't want stocks to take up the majority of my team. Is it best to construct a portfolio of high quality, low expense ETFs and add to it monthly or quarterly? Or is it better to follow a model portfolio like 5i or invests in particular companies. Less risk of picking a wrong stock in the ETF approach, but potentially also less reward. Real estae is still going to be my focus and I plan to use the real estate to fund my retirement.

Q: I see ITC has had a nice bounce in the last few days. Any news on this or just normal small cap volatility? I know you said you were getting impatient with this name, how much longer would you give it?

Q: I presently hold BIP.UN in a RIF. This is primarily to simplify the tax situation of a limited partnership. Does BAM.A have any tax ramifications other than capital gains if held in a trading account?

Q: Hi team, Cameco is in a space of its own I guess. What would it take for this stock to move up again. I have a 1% position in it with a 50% loss in it but in no rush to sell it. I don't mind holding it, would it be worth adding to it for a long term, very long term position. Thanks, Nick

Q: Just sold my house and not planning to buy one within half a year. I am using part of the proceeds investing in 5i stocks. I want to park the rest of the money somewhere relatively safe for a quarter or half a year. Looking at XHY.to, CVD.to, CPD.to, even KWH_u.to, ALAr.to. A bank is giving you nothing. Please advice

Q: Was wondering what you thought of Couche-Tard? Seems to be in the doldrums right now and a pretty high valuation - with Metro taking over Jean Coutu and owning 5.7% of ATD.B - they might sell this position to take on less debt for the acquisition - their sales per store in the US wasn't that great either - would you hold, sell or buy more on this dip?

Q: I got in on ATD late and have lost my gain. What is the outlook for ATD.?
What do you think about ADT and buy Alta gas for the yield.

Q: Since their loss of a large contract and their last earnings report the stock has been trading poorly. With third quarter earnings coming up and the stock still trading poorly, do you thing this company could have other problems.

Q: I know it is psychological and makes no difference but for some reason investors prefer to buy shares when it is perceived to be a low price. So Premium Brands at $100 a share would you see a company like this thinking of splitting their shares to make them seem more affordable to investors?

Since I think the probability of a competing bid is close to zero, and the closing ability of the buyer is good, I want to understand the price at which PJC.A shares trade.
The facts: each shareholder can choose between (1) cash = 24,50$ or 0,61006 MRU (currently 26,09$); the aggregate consideration will be 75% in cash + 25% in MRU shares. Currently, MRU = 42,78 and PJC = 24,83 =>75%+25% = 24,90$.
Can I expect PJC shares to trade directly on this 75% & 25% prorata? Will the Coutu family exclusively get shares (they will get 2 seats on the board)? If yes, than there won't be that many shares of MRU available for the rest of PJC shareholders. Today, no PJC shareholders would choose to be paid 24,50$ cash, all would choose 100% MRU shares (price 42,78 x 0,61006= 26,10$). If I have no particular desire to own MRU share, and if I want to maximize my wealth, what should I do, if I cannot forecast MRU share price? The difference between the current price of PJC.A shares 24,83$ and the 75%+25% sum 24,90$ is very small for a transaction that will close between March and June 2018

Q: Preferred shares usually have an issue price of $25. Would it be correct to assume that in a rising interest rate environment CPD has a chance to climb towards the $25 range?

Q: Was wondering why the large volume lately and why this is seemingly under some pressure down?

Q: I am trying to clean up my husband's portfolio but am missing some ACB data. Specifically, when I checked his 2000 investment statement, he had Janus Global Equity Fund, but now he doesn't have this holding. However, he has a Mackenzie fund (MFC1055) that he didn't remember buying. I am thinking there was a fund merger at some point. Where can I find information about historical fund mergers?

Q: Would this be your favourite cyber security stock for a growth investor?

Q: Any guess on hypothetical FTC settlement if SHOP were to face similar claims as Herbalife did with $200M US settlement. Any guess on what impact may have on shares based on relative revenue, and market cap of each? Recently sold SHOP from 4% down to 2% for 3rd time I think, and hate sticking around with shorts, but still more than a double if goes down to Citron's $60US target. Would you sell off 2% or stick around.

Q: Why did this company go up 60% on Tuesday? The news regarding the fcc approval was released monday morning and the stock was fairly stable.

Does the fcc approval mean their product works? Is there any competition or simialar product out there? Do you know if the product would be too expensive for mass install?

Q: Hi team,

Would you buy NVO at these levels or would you wait for it to settle. I have been trying to be cautious a bit but the stock keeps going up and up. What do you think of the story and Mr. Hennigh's theory? How much the involvement of Eric Sprott and Newmont and Kirkland mean here? Are they speculating too or are they interested in developing a mine? Has the easy money been made already or do you expect to momentum to continue?
