Q: Hello 5i. I just wondered when is there earnings date? Is there is track for the stock to get up the it’s NAV in value? And lastly is it a buy?

Could you please advise me which securities to sell and/or lighten up if I was to buy a house. Please take into account the prevailing economic environment. Let’s say the mix is 80/20 stocks to bonds/interest bearing certificates and the securities are evenly dollar-wise represented.

Q: Good afternoon!
I am helping a friend move away from mutual funds, and I note on Bloomberg that the "Current Mgmt Fee" for this fund is 2.1%, and the Expense Ratio is 2.61%. Am I correct in thinking this means that 4.71% comes off the top here before valuation?
Also, over 77% of this fund owns other BMO funds, which I assume have their own deductions not included in the above. Is this also a fair assumption? Of interest, it says it is 2% to redeem!

Q: Im 27 and Im looking to become financially independent VIA my investments by 35. I currently have $120,000 invested (90,000 in my TFSA, 20,000 in my RRSP, and $10,000 in cash) I also have $130,000 worth of equity in my rental property, which I intend to liquidate within the next few years to invest. I’ve got a mixture of investments including dividend stocks that’s are set up to DRIP, index funds, stocks that I researched, and some speculative plays. What do you recommend I focus on going forward? I’m looking at adding $2000/ month to my investment program. Thanks!

I have just opened up a Family RESP (currently ages (-0) and 1.5 yrs) and have been going through the RESP questions as well other questions. I would like to contribute $2,500 this year for existing grandchild and $5,000 next year when #2 comes along.
I think you would agree that at this point it is probably best to start with an ETF? So, given that, could you please give me a couple of your top recommendations for this point in time/cycle/interest rate environment, etc.. Should you feel that some individual equities might work better solo or in combo, any suggestions would be welcome. Based on what I have read, I was leaning towards VGRO, but am not sure that would be your top recommendation, so a couple of ETF and/or equitiy suggestions would be much appreciated!!

Q: My only holding in the communication sector right now is a half position in Telus and I would like to increase my weighting in the sector. Would you recommend that I top it up to a full position or purchase something else in the sector. I am also underweight US equities right now so I would accept a Canadian and/or US recommendation.
