Q: What do you realistically think would be a good price to buy Google considering the volatility in the markets these days? Under $110?
Q: now that the link deal is accepted, what should this mean for stock performance. market conditions aside what upward push should it have (if any)?
Q: From readings, it seems the preference is to withdraw funds from a RRIF or LIF later in the year rather than at the start of the year. Me, wondering what are the reasons for this. Do you have any thoughts on this?........Thanks for your insights........Tom
Q: Hello 5i, I read an article in the Edmonton Journal Aug 17/22 by Chris Varcoe titled Alberta Left out as Natural Gas Demand soars. In my opinion Canada has mainly one customer for its oil which is the US which since oil was discovered in Canada have been buying Canadian oil for half price of the world market price per barrel. Could you explain what is the discrepancy of what US companies get for there natural gas as well as world price and what Canadian natural Gas producers receive and why.

Q: My question is regarding selling my XHC and purchasing XLV in my RSP. I have 414 shares of XHC and understand the cost of currency change .I have initiated a position in XLV by selling VIG when it moves beyond 10% of our portfolio and started wondering whether I should consolidate to XLV. Our other healthcare stock is WELL. I would appreciate your comments. Thank you.
Q: Hi 5i,
I have small positions in each of these three travel businesses. I was thinking of selling one to add to the other two, in an effort to be more efficient in my holdings. Would this be a good idea or would the diversification of holding all three be worthwhile?
If selling one, which would be your choice and why? I know you have recommended BKNG in the past but I sometimes wonder whether the other two have a stronger moat?
Growth investor with a long-term time frame.
Thank you, Doris

Q: Hi 5i, Can I get your take on these 3 companies - current valuation, growth prospects, balance sheet…? I currently hold ILMN. Should I add to ILMN or diversify in the diagnostics/research field by adding TMO or A, and if so, which if the two would you prefer? Growth investor with a long-term time frame.
Thank you, Doris

Looking for performing stocks with strong growth potential, and reasonable risks. What is your present evaluation of the followings: TH-Q, NEX-N, PGY-Q and ASML-Q ? Would you buy it now ? If not, what would be your favorite in the same sector ?
Have a good day,
Jacques IDS

Q: I run 2 balanced portfolios, one for my wife and one for myself. Both are in our TFSAs and each portfolio contain 24 stocks. My question is would it be more advantageous to have the same stocks in each portfolio or different stocks in each to have more diversification. Can being too diversified work against you in certain cases. Thank you very much for your much appreciated advice.
