Q: Hello 5i
First, thank you for your excellent service and guidance! I am retired, looking for income and growth. Following are my questions.

1) What do you think of VCNS? Could you suggest an alternative. I presently have a half position in VCNS.
2) At this time would you still recommend a 4.5% position in ATZ?
3)I am down about 30% with MMM. Is there a better place for these funds?
4) I am down 11% with CLF. What has to happen( with interest etc.) to recoup this loss?

Thank you, Bill

5i Research Answer:

1) We think it is a good passive strategy for investors that would like a built portfolio to-go. We would be comfortable with VCNS as a core holding.

2) We suggest holding it if it is a position. We would not build a full position outright and add while watching sentiment.

3) In the similar industry/space, we would consider TT. Otherwise, we would look at COST, WMT, MSFT, or QQQ (ETF)

4) Bonds have been a tough market with the sudden and quick changes in interest rates. As interest rates peak, we expect bonds to find stability and a jump in trading prices considering the negative relation between interest rates and bond prices. To recoup the loss, interest rates will have to peak, stay and decline.
