Q: I follow your Model Portfolio and want to add CDR Stocks - (AAPL, NVDA, GOOG, AMZN, META, DIS, and V) since I want to keep 25 stocks. Which one would you suggest selling from Balance Equity Portfolio and replacing it with 7 CDR stocks?

Q: Good morning,
Just saw in my news feed that RY missed expectations. Means another blood bath for the banks? Should one wait before backing up the truck and loading up? How long should one wait for the dust to settle? I know RY,TD &BNS are your favorite picks.

If you can add a few sentences in the US banking sector,not would be appreciated.

Q: I own a mixture of these in both my RIF and non registered accounts and wish to consolidate them so as to only own one of each. Capital gains and tax need not to be considered. Which version of these 2 companies would you have in each of my two accounts ? Thanks.

I have too many stocks and am starting to pare back. I have these five stocks in Energy. Which two would you sell? To which stock(s )would you add the cash from the sale.

Thanks for the excellent advice. It is so comforting to have 5i to ask questions of. It is hard to be objective sometimes when it is your own portfolio.

Q: In a diversified portfolio currently hold CAE and thinking of switching to riskier ATA given dismal outlook for former and after it cut its dividend. Still need to increase my industrial holdings and CAE is my only aerospace subsector holding. Other industrials are WSP. TRI, TFII, BBU, BBUC and BAM. Your views?

Q: hello 5i:
regarding the 49% investment by BIP in INTC'S chip plant.
BIP is our largest holding, so we are concerned as to the significance of this deal and the effect on BIPs future. How significant is it?
And, with INTCs well-known failures of overpromising and underdelivering, poor allocation of capital and just bad management decisions, will an alliance with INTC not drag BIP down with it? Could not the company find a "more reliable" partner (ie AMD)?
How does BIP benefit in all of this?
I suppose that another way of asking this, is "should we lighten up". Tough, as we've held since 2015 and been very happy owners.

Q: Hi 5i, I’m going to be selling out of the money covered calls in my US/Canadian RRSP accounts. Now my understanding is the Canadian option market in not very liquid so should I journal over my Canadian banks, pipelines, Telecom, Utilities (big companies) to the US RRSP account? Also I imagine I’m looking to write covered calls on on big stable companies do REITs make sense. Can you rank the best sector’s and maybe some companies that make sense. Your help is appreciated.

Question I've been wondering about for some time. ATZ appears to be one of your favourite companies. However, given its focus on higher end fashion, in a downturn, would not GIL stand to benefit more, given its focus is more lower end day to day needs? What makes ATZ more preferable to own?
