Q: Thoughts on Quorum Information Technologies Inc? It's been a while since the last question, and it has come down to 75 cents.

Q: The press release does not say what Kraken intends to do with what looks like a significant addition to their funds. Do you know and what might be the expected share price response?

Q: Can you analyze AVAV as a potential investment? Look at growth, moat, competitors and catalysts if you don't mind. The stock has had a good run but it seems to have potential with all of the new NATO spending that is projected. In addition, please suggest any other companies that you more strongly believe in as likely to benefit from military spending with an emphasis on smaller companies with higher risk, higher upside. Q: Hello 5i,

We have a bit of a conundrum on our fixed low-risk investments for our RRSP’s. We have laddered GIC’s (@5%-5.4%) that expire each year to cover costs + we sell some USD fixed income for vacations. We are running dry on GIC’s and our fixed income (BIL) may have rates reduced. We need to replenish Canadian and USD fixed income as those investments are our safety net in case everything goes for a crap for 1-2 years.

Our standard decision in a lower rate environment is to purchase stocks or ETF’s with decent yields but the market is very high, 5-10 year Treasuries seem to be risky now due to Trumponomics, and our time-line is always short for that strategy.

Our goal is to have a 5% increase per year (thru yield or ETF or stock increase). Do you have a few suggestions?

Q: For Crypto exposure, I have a 1.5% position in COIN, a 2% position in GLXY (up 25%) and a .5% position in MSTE. I want to invest another 1.5% by either bringing COIN to 3% or investing in HOOD at 1.5%. Would you add to COIN or diversify into HOOD? Would you be comfortable with 5.5% total in diversified Crypto holdings?

I read with interest this passage from a big fund quarterly report:

“We sold our smallest holding, Lumine, a small vertical market software business spun off from Constellation Software and still controlled by it. We’ve had trouble getting too excited about these spins from the mothership as we previously sold Topicus, another Constellation-owned business. These spinoffs tend to be nice businesses, but tiny and illiquid. Plus, Constellation continues to control the business economics and voting rights. It makes more sense for us to concentrate our research focus on Constellation.”

Is it fair to say that large funds often face challenges in initiating or maintaining meaningful positions in spinoffs like Lumine or Topicus, particularly due to limited liquidity and the ongoing control exerted by Constellation Software?

Over the years my portfolio has been going up well when the markets are good and they drop (sometimes significantly) during downturns. What is the best way to manage downturns? Or in other words how to lose less during downturns? Is it by taking money off the table when things are good..is there some thumb rule to manage downturns. Thanks.

My only current holding in this sector is Proctor & Gamble (PG). What would be your top 3 picks in Canada and top 3 picks in the US, ranked please, for a new consumer staples holding?

Q: I have had EFN on a buy watchlist but always hesitated because CFRA, a firm whose analyses I have found useful and reliable, gave EFN a poor rating. Last week RBC’s Toronto office initiated coverage and rated EFN its ‘top growth stock’. Please give your own analysis and comments on EFN, including possible vulnerability to tariff flip-flops; soundness of business model; competitive position; and strength of management. Share value has risen rapidly and EFN is at 52-week highs. I am tempted to wait for a better price, but good companies have a habit of 'running away' from one.
