Q: BAM has made recent sales in the market of West Fraser Timber and GrafTech is there a specific reason do they need to raise cash, or are they taking profit.

Q: Hi, I was wondering if you could explain inflation and the impact on the economy and companies? Why the US is seeing inflation with the pandemic affecting businesses and jobs. I thought inflation meant growth in the economy. Is this current inflation numbers a blip or expected to last a few years? Do I follow the trend of sector rotation?

Q: Hi 5i,
In reviewing my asset allocations, I am underweight in US and International. I am also light on Healthcare, Industrials, and Technology. Are there any companies (top 5) that jump out at you as growth based names that could help with this in terms of a 'two-birds-one-stone' approach?
I have a 10+ year timeline and a high risk tolerance.

Q: With so much attention on EV’s, questions
related to charging stations - and battery suppliers are becoming more important.

I am looking for a basket of companies in which to invest that 5i believes can benefit from these developments.

As part of this theme I am wondering:
1. Where will people recharge their vehicles?
Will traditional gas stations - including companies like ATD.B and PKI - retrofit some of their gas pumps to charging stations?

2. Who will supply the volume of batteries that are expected to be required? As someone said the other day “ right now Tesla owns the “bakery” ....which gives it a huge competitive advantage over the other potential competitors.

Q: What would you suggest as a way to gain exposure to Electric Vehicles (EV’s)?

I have electric producers, as a common denominator, but wonder whether direct investment into auto or parts makers, and/or battery components (lithium/graphite) would be worthwhile.

Any suggestions for some small dabbles?

Q: I saw your response to the only question on Cielo from Feb 08 and was wondering if your thoughts had changed in the last couple weeks. The CDIC / CDEV has turned in to an equity investor as of late. I have a lot of respect for Robert McWhirter and his abilities to accurately make no BS calls on stocks and he declared his interest on BNN market call on Friday. I bought a large position on Feb 04 after reading about the company I hope it can rival Xebec.
