Q: Morning 5iTeam,
Although David Rosenberg has always been a nay sayer, his recent comments on the economy and equity markets in 2023 were gloomier than usual. What is your take on this? Is there any credence to what he's saying? Maybe he is shorting the markets????
Cheers,
Q: Both PIMCO Tactical Income Fund (9.6% Yield) and PIMCO Dynamic Income Fund (13% Yield), were mentioned on the weekend.
Their unit prices have dropped due to the rise in interest rates. I am retired and have very little exposure to fixed income. Would this be a reasonable investment to consider? One would expect if interest rates continue to rise, the units’ prices will continue to be adversely affected.
Q: After 12 years of dividend increases they are cutting the dividend to approx 1/12. AND they announce a buy back. Call me cynical but it seems they are anticipating a big reward in cheap shares after all the dividend investors bail. That vented, my question is; is it about time to take this out of the income portfolio?
Q: Hello, this is about Dream Industrial REIT, in a recent answer to a member's question you mention a special dividend of 50C. Do you know the payment date of this special dividend? Thank you
Q: What does this company have to do to get back to six dollars. They keep beating guidance with impressive reporting. Can you picture this happening sometime in 2023 if the direction of the company continues their rapid progress.
I own the above noted stocks as a smaller portion of my portfolio of higher risk names. All of these names are down other than CTS. Do you see any of these names as ones that I should sell as part of a portfolio clean up?
Today XBC is delisted from TSX...I still see the shares in my account. Could you please predict what will happen going forward? Do you see any value in the common shares? Is it okay to claim capital loss for 2022?
Q: Hi 5i
PFE ($49.36) has had a nice run. Any worries of a backlash against them as we all keep getting jabs and yet keep getting COVID? The virus mutates faster than they can come up with new vaccines. Will investors start to worry that this giant boost to revenue may disappear?
-And side question-how have your portfolios fared this year? Just curious since you don't own any Canadian stocks, have you managed to avoid major declines?
Q: What percent does Ala own in the mountain valley pipeline in the us. Is this delay a partial reason why the stock is down. What is your view of the stock at these prices?
Q: My position in FCD.UN is down almost 28% in the last year. The shares bumped up recently following earnings release on Nov 10 but then resumed the downtrend. The earnings release shows that distributions are 113% of AFFO. The company bought back 147,000 shares during the quarter. While fewer shares mean fewer distributions, is this a wise expenditure when distributions are over 100% of AFFO? Do think the dividend is safe or should I take my losses and cash out? Thanks for your advice.
