Q: Thoughts on earnings?

Specifically I want to ask about these three line items from full year 2024 earnings:

"Total revenue increased 62% year-over-year to $1.3 billion, Ad revenue increased 50% year-over-year to $1.2 billion, and Other revenue reached $114.7 million

Gross margin was 90.5%, an improvement of 430 basis points from the prior year

Free Cash Flow was $215.8 million and capital expenditures were $6.2 million, less than 1% of revenue"

With gross margin being high and Cap-ex being incredibly low; is there something I am missing or is Reddit likely to be very profitable now that the baggage on the books from the IPO is behind them?

How is cap-ex so low? Is that mostly a result of their website having volunteer moderators?

Thanks.

Q: I hold these small/mid cap stocks. Most have done well.

It looks like the interest rates vs inflation discussion isn’t going away soon and rates may be higher for longer. With this as the backdrop and current uncertainty around the markets is this a time to lighten up on Small/Mid cap stocks and take some profit? Or would you hold?

Thanks
Tim

Q: Hello 5i
I'm hearing noise about a rotation away from the Mag7 type companies. Could I have your perspective please?
Also what are the expected EPS growth for each of the MAG7 for 2025?
Thank you so much!
Dave

Q: What is your opinion of this ETF? The performance history is really good beating the S&P and others over the last 10 years. They have had a couple of splits in the past and hold about 235 stocks in total. I looked at the top holdings and they are almost the same as the VOO /VFV. Would this be a good sub for the VFV or VOO? The price per unit is low

Q: In your answers to question about tariffs on aluminum and steel you suggested that Canadian producers will get hurt as well as US customers who will face higher prices. Are there US suppliers who might benefit if they have excess capacity? Which companies might be in this category?
Thanks

Q: I used to have a position in Celsius, but I exited it a while back when market sentiment became negative on the company. It has been a falling knife for many months: do you see any point at which it might begin a recovery, or do you see this as a company that could ultimately become bankrupt?

I don’t normally make an investment habit of bottom feeding, but the level of the drop has intrigued me to a degree. I’d really appreciate your insight on this company. Thanks so much, and I look forward to your response.

Q: After today's earnings call, I'm still down 28% overall on these guys. I don't need the $, happy to let it sit for the long run. My question is, am I better off investing that money somewhere else or do you foresee a future where I stand to benefit by sticking with them. If you do suggest moving on, provide a suggestion pls.

Q: Thank you for your prompt answer; I was not sure whether the company consistently advised much lower prospects or whether there was some seasonality to their earnings. My take is that corporate earnings prospects do need to be as accurate as possible and is an appropriate response, and guidance, to shareholders investment.
