Q: Hello 5i, Could you comment as to why the operators of the Trans Mountain Pipeline would supply tanker loads of Canadian Oil to the US west coast refiners to replace Iraq oil. This oil is heavily discounted. I thought the purpose of the new pipeline was to obtain world price for Canadian oil and reduce the supply of discounted Canadian oil to the US. This new event is quite concerning for Canadian oil producers to achieve world price for there oil.

Q: Two questions, deduct accordingly. What is the consensus for MU and regarding VLE, with the stock dropping regularly these days, why wouldn't they do a stock buy back at these prices with the cash at hand. Please give your opinion on VLE. Thanks
Q: Where can I monitor insider trading on the TSX, TSXV exchange? Does the TMX publish a daily report or do you need to access a pay for use service.

Please give me your assessment going forward. Is there any hope for this company ...any reason at all to be patient? Thanks...your assessments are always a big help!

Q: My grandson's TFSA has done very well, in large part due to excellent advice/info from 5i Research. He now needs to raise some cash to make a down-payment. Of the following stocks (ordered by size, i.e. NVDA is his biggest holding and LMN is smallest), which would you be most inclined to sell, given he is in his mid-20s and has a growth focus? Top 5-7 sell candidates would be sufficient.
Thanks again for the excellent service!

Q: CNR. Have you heard any news re the potential reason for the downhill trajectory in the stock over the course of the last 2 weeks?
PLTR. In an opposite sense, any news re the upside being experienced by this company over the course of the last 2 weeks. I did see a target price of $29 recently but everything I've heard is that the company's forecast was ok (nothing special), I've heard many analysts reiterate that the companies stock was overvalued, ...
Would you be a buyer for either of the above at current prices? If not, would you wait for a better price? Thanks.

Q: I own both of these companies and i see a recent question that you rate QSR better for growth in the future over CMG. Look at the 5 year return of both of these companies and it is like black and white. CMG has been fabulous and no return from QSR, why i still hold QSR is only hoping that one day, one day, that something positive will happen. The only person that makes money on this company is the overpaid CEO.

Q: I have followed nuclear energy and Cameco for about three decades. It has been a tough investment environment for most of this time. We now are seeing a dynamic change in sentiment and planned expansion in this part of the energy sector. As an optimistic investor heavily invested in uranium stocks, I expect to have further capital gains as nuclear plants are built. However, it appears that some of the new modular reactors will use spent fuel rods as the source of uranium to run their reactors. Do you see this having a significantly negative impact on uranium demand going forward? Also, will the BEPs Westinghouse purchase be material to the company in an expanding demand for nuclear energy?

Propel Holdings Inc. (PRL)
Q: I read with interest your (excellent) advice about when to sell a stock for fundamental reasons as I believe I often sold for wrong reasons, and I want to learn to do it for better reasons. You mention the following:
In the case of volatility, if a name is jumping by 5% or more any given day, it is tough to call it an investment anymore as it becomes more of a bet on a given days move. Again, some investors will make money here, but we would far prefer to look elsewhere at this stage.
Vertiv (VRT) is one of the stocks you often mention as one that is taking full advantage of AI because of its privileged involvement in data centre cooling technology and is in a growth spurt that affects the stock price and is worth considering at this stage of AI growth investing. ( you do add it won't last forever, though ) Nonetheless, it is trading lately with large daily swings (of 5% and, even, sometimes 10%). In which way would it be different then and tough to call it an investment vs a speculation? I feel the same goes for Propel Holdings (PRL) which is another small but rapidly growing company because of an interesting business model. (it too, lately, also appears to be on an up and down elevator ride.) Would you care to explain the difference in reasoning please?
Thanks, Adel

Q: Hi 5i!
Piggy backing off one of my last questions on building a solid portfolio from scratch through diversification et al(THANK YOU!). Knowing you cant get personal; looking for some mid to long term hold recommendations (either US or CA) in the following sectors with growth upside in mind as I have significant cash (250K+) sitting in my RRSP doing nothing. I am currently quite top heavy in Tech and own the above in registered and non-registered accounts.
If you have several recos for a sector, can you please rank in order of preference. Additionally, if there is a sector that can be put to the side with the idea of prioritizing others, I would be keen to know. Also open to add ETF's to represent a sector. As always, thanks a million. I love your service.

Q: Could you please explain what would/should have changed with the split, if you held NVDA CDRs rather than the regular shares.
