Q: For those of us who still have Covalon shares, should we hold on to see if their product does have some promise? Or should we sell into strength. At one point, back pre-Saudi problems, you seemed to be very positive on the company: I had assumed you had a feeling for management and financial strength. Now, reading between the lines, you seem to be implying it is somewhat akin to a VSE mining stock promotion. (Maybe that's not a fair statement.) When I look at the product Covalon originally had regarding anti-infection of wounds, it makes some sense that they could pivot to something that might kill a virus. I understand that it would include sufficient alcohol to do the job, so is comparable to Purell. But they claim to have made something that would last longer than a simple alcohol wipe. I hear you say it is interesting, but I'm not quite sure how to take the fact that they were asked to re-write a somewhat promotional news release. Should we sell and then return when the product is more developed, or just hold for now?

Q: Hello 5i Team
Are there any restrictions to the percentage of foreign equity within a RRSP? From everything I have seen so far with the merger of TSGI The Stars Group and Flutter will be OK in terms of if I can hold a UK stock in our SpousalRRSP but will it matter that it is over 10% of that account (not of all combined accounts)? I really do not want to sell it as it has not performed and I still have faith in it.
Thank you
Jeremy

Q: Hi Peter and Team,

I'm wondering if it's time to start picking away at names like New Flyer? I thinking that they are building public transportation and Electric Buses which should still be desired following return to normalcy from this virus and may be more desired following the recent big drop in air pollution from the economies shutting down.

Q: Good morning 5i
And thanks for the continuing good advice in this difficult time. I know that you lack confidence in Toy's management following their errors during the best selling season and their failure in estimating future revenu. But, i have, now a small position, in a non registered account. I am thinking about buying the same amount in a registered account and in a month selling in the non registered account. This will allow me to take the tax loss selling, without fear that the stock shoots up in that time. i take seriously your concern about toy. But, i imagine nothing catastrophic will happen in a month, would you agree?
Thanks

Q: Hi folks, reading Q4/19 financials on Ag Growth...& 2020 outlook was mostly doom & gloom affecting their business, ie: US/China trade war & esp Covid-19. However, Afn/t received an amendment & extension of its credit facility with 5 Cdn banks with improved terms, and pushed out to 20 march 2025. Guess Q is...will AG Growth financially survive virus crisis..and for longer term..can U start to nibble on a position here. Recently took position in Ntr/t below $40 as will always be a market for food/agriculture...thanks as always. jb Piedmont QC

Q: Any concern on their dividend? Looking at their annual report for 2019, payout ratio is close to 70%. If this is correct, doesn’t leave much room to increase the dividend or re-invest back into the business for growth.... I would hate to see an equity raise in the near future or see then use their cash balance for a dividend increase. Your thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Q: I just reread through your report on this company. How can you do a report on a company without even talking or acknowledging their debt situation. How can we your clients who are relying at least partly on your advice reports etc. on some of these companies in your portfolios and now in a lot of ours fully trust some these reports. I fully realize times of changed dramatically very quickly but this seems to me like a very important fundamental that needs to be in all reports. I look forward to your response.

Q: In this market, is Absolute one to worry about. Is the dividend covered? Do they still have lots of cash? If there is a possibility they will cut the dividend, I dont want to see my investment cut in half with no dividend and I will bail now.
