Q: Hi Guys - looking at adding to my financials position. I currently hold ~2.5% in each of TD and BNS. With the forecast estimates of improved earnings, increased dividends/buybacks, etc... which of the "Big 5+EQB+LB" would you find the most attractive, both in terms of capital growth and dividend increases (i.e., total growth). Thank you!

Q: Good morning Team. Loving the website uptake. Managing along with my 3 adult kids (18,21,24) their TFSA. They have done very well with above. Recently sold OTEX and KXS which 2 older ones have held for 3-4 years. Advice should they consider
1. adding 2 new Canadian growth stocks or
2. should they add to five remaining ones

Realize very tech heavy but their time Horizon is long. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks. Chris

Q: Concerns me when a position reports good numbers in a strong market but the stock doesnt react. Recent examples are DOO and TCL.A A guest on BNN mentioned DOO has presold the complete manufacturing run of 2022 Ski Doo's. With this in mind earnings should be stellar this year but going foward the bar is set very high for comparisons. I've trimmed DOO once and still have a 6% weighting after having it more than double since the first purchase. Considering exiting the position altogether. Thoughts on both companies and my theory, thanks.

Q: Shopify has crept up close to 10% of my portfolio. I have already taken back more than my original investment. I know that from a portfolio management position it should be trimmed, but is there any case to hold it long term, or is it best to trim and re-allocate.

My book value is low on it and it is in Non-taxable account.

My logic is letting a some concentrated positions run to outperform the market, but I also see the risk of a major correction in a momentum stock.

Thanks again.

Q: I have owned CNR for a number of years and it has been a solid performer. I appreciate its regular dividend increases and blue-chip status. Having said that, under what circumstances, if any, would you consider switching to TFII? I know there is an increase in risk but do you expect the long term growth prospects with TFII to be that much better? In particular, I am thinking that the UPS segment of TFII's business offers a real potential growth opportunity.

Taxes are not an issue.

Appreciate your insight.

Q: I took an amateur stab at a discounted cash flow analysis of PHO
to help me decide if I should vote Yes or No to approve the upcoming friendly takeover vote. In the end, I had to make a lot of assumptions about growth rates, cash flow projections and valuation of comparables. I came up with an intrinsic value share price ranging from 3.64 - 5.93 depending. But because of all the variables, plus my non-expertise, I do not trust my own analysis. Also there may be better ways to value the company than DCF analysis. What's your best guess as to this company's value or range of values? What method and assumptions would you use?
