Q: Could you please rank these five financials for growth for a relatively short time frame of say 2 years?

Q: I own 5% and 2% positions in SLF and POW respectively. I'm looking to take a 2% position in IFC. Is there enough P&C business to set IFC apart from the others and make the decision to add this stock? i.e. not so much overlap.

With regards to the whole Financial sector, what percentage allocation does 5i see as a sort of maximum?

Regarding the P&C business, I'm wondering if the eventual reliability of self-driving cars will negatively impact IFC's business. Not sure if you have an opinion one way or the other on this.

IFC has had incredible growth. Is the industry still fragmented enough for them to sustain this growth?

IFC Is this company going to struggle or prosper for the next couple of years? If there are competitors that you think will do better could you please advise.

Q: The above companies are of course different, but can you rank them on a valuation basis as possible additions to existing holdings. Comments on recent earnings reports for WCN and FSV would be helpful.

Thanks for your thoughtful answer to my question earlier this morning asking which sectors you expect to recover more quickly, and for some names you like in each.
The names you listed in the two sectors you identified (tech and consumer discretionary) were all US companies. Do you see the same sector recovery pattern being followed in Canada, and can you provide some Canadian names in the sectors you like that you would expect to 'lead the charge'? Thanks!

Q: In a dividend portfolio would you prefer Scotia bank with its higher yield despite recent concerns in respect of the new CEO or National Bank. We also have TD and Royal in our portfolio. Similarly would you prefer Manulife over Intact Financial for now given the higher dividend for the current time.

Q: I've owned Trisura for some time, and it's been very volatile. Is the growth over the next 3 to 5 years worth the volatiliy, or should I switch to something more stable like Intact Financial.

Q: Hi,
I am puzzled by Intact's jump in price today, it isn't earnings related, but seems rather significant. Also, given that they have just issued preferred's at 5.25%, would you rate these as a good addition to a diversified portfolio looking to add a lower volatility holding for income? Q: To my knowledge both of these companies are in the specialty insurance business. Given that TSU is wholly owned by BAM.A (3.5% of my overall holdings; overlap concerns?), which do you prefer for a conservative investor and why. What would be their outlook considering an post-COVID opening world and over the next 5 yrs? Is there another name you prefer more in this specialty space?

Q: I'm over weight Canadian financials but only hold two insurance companies - SLF and IFC.
Would they move in a similar fashion? Or do they focus on different insurance spheres? Would it be good keep both?
