Q: hello 5i:
I'm looking for ideas for a covered call health care etf in US dollars. LIFE.B seems to be a little to thinly traded, so something other than this? If choices are very limited, would a general etf like SCHD or DIVO be the next best option?
thanks

Q: Just reading about the takeover of RNW by TA. Not really interested in TA as I need income and the reduction in yield will go from 8.55 down to 1.88% with only 1.03 shares of TA for every share of RNW. My question is if RNW happens to trade above the $13 mark, will it be better to just sell all of those shares if this happens?

Thanks
Jeff

Q: Hello! For large sums of money that need to be held in cash which is the best and safest option and what is the difference in yield one receives in these different investments? Is money held in these kinds of investments CDIC insured up to $100,000 or is that only if one holds in a GIC? Thank you!

Q: In ref. to TK's question July 10 I am curious why you would suggest ZWB over HMAX for an income-based portfolio? I looked hard at both, for the same reason as TK, and chose HMAX. Just counterchecking my decision. Thanks, James

Q: Can you provide any sort of update on this company. I understand that the strategic update in August could be interesting, however, what other catalysts could be on the horizon? How do you like the risk/reward scenario? Has there been insider buying? Would you take a starter position here?

Q: In many questions asked there seems to be some expectation that interest rates will go down at some point in the relative near future. Do you think this is a valid expectation? Employment remains strong; housing market prices are holding; with some limited exceptions we have not seen significant layoffs…. Why would the Bank of Canada reduce rates anytime soon? I suggest that we had such low rates for so long, people expect that to be the new norm. We are only now
approaching the level of rates that were ‘normal’ for a very long time. What am I missing?

Q: I know how positive you are on this stock, many guests on BNN and elsewhere also favour it, and I have done well on it (thanks to you). I also know a great company and a great share price can stay out of sync for awhile. Do you think the share price is languishing solely because of the Fed's legislative changes, and if so, how many "show me" good quarters is it likely to take to approach the old highs? Thanks for your thoughts.

Q: I have been out of the loop for a while (due to a few health concerns) and have found these two stocks, Fiera and Algonquin, fallen since I last checked in on them.

Is Fiera, then, a SELL? I see that it is diminished in the portfolio, but still hanging in there. If this company is no longer a good proposition, could you suggest a replacement for a steady income/dividend, as that is a priority now in my stage of investing.

And same applies to Algonquin. Is that a good proposition to hold, or can it be replaced now with something with more vitality?

Thanks for your help, as always.

Please deduct points accordingly, as this is a "two-fer". : )
