Q: Just listened to Ross Healy on Market Call tonight, with regard to Vermilion. He is saying the stock is only earning $1.05 per share and paying out $2.76. Has a share value at $24.00 per share. Other analysts have different analysis on the stock and buy rating like 5i. Please explain the difference in opinion.

Q: Hi 5i, Please comment on Russel Metals recent quarter. Initially the market seemed to like things but stock fell quite a bit Friday afternoon and again today(Mon.).
Nice dividend, strong results, cheap stock, good management, is it the tariffs, the cyclicality or something else.
Thanks for your great work.

Q: Peter; With all the terrible blizzards across the continent wouldn’t this pump up Boyd’s earnings nicely? Rod
Q: This is comment in reference to a Question by Bryan:
It would be more beneficial for Bryan to have the other spouse as the successor to the RRSP (only spouse can be successor and basically the TFSA money transfers into TFSA of the spouse - no contribution limit affected). They can then have the beneficiaries if the successor has predeceased the account holder. I thought this might be something that Bryan and/or other members in similar situation can consider. Thanks.

Q: My wife and I are 66 years old. We each have a TFSA which we are trying to maximize. These would be the last two accounts we would ever take money out of. Our children are the beneficiaries so these are long term accounts - hopefully! We each have RRSPs and share a non-registered account we use for income. We don't have any fixed income but do have enough cash to last us 3 years. No pensions, but are quite diversified in a number of blue chip stocks.
Between the two of us we have PHO, SIS, TOY, BNS, TSGI. None of which has been very good lately but we are patient. We have enough money for two more positions, and think it would be prudent to add two, more stable, names. OTEX, BOYD, GC ? Suggestions?
THANK YOU !

Q: Can I get your thoughts on the recent announcement of "Intrinsyc’s engagement of Roth Capital Partners, LLC (“Roth”) as a financial advisor with a mandate to accelerate strategic growth opportunities for the Company. The goal of Roth’s mandate, which has been documented by a formal engagement agreement on standard industry terms, is to enhance value for all holders of Intrinsyc common shares."
Thanks

Q: Yahoo shows 14 analysts est. for 2019 earnings as;
LOW-$1.90 HI-$3.27 AVG-$2.48
This seems very strange for such a big Co. & a decline for 2019?
Pls. adv. what your sources show for 2019.

Q: Peter; Just for those looking to park money for up to 3 years - BMO now has cashable GIC’s for 1,2and 3 years terms. Obviously the rate is adjusted for the cashability but the $100,000. guarantee is there. Publish if you wish.Rod
Q: I own PEY - would you continue to hold with the low P/E and dividend being well covered but the trend is not good or would you sell and if so, why would you sell? If you recommend selling, what would you buy with the proceeds and why?

Q: Hello 5i,
I am down 11% in each Power Corp (POW.TO) and Power Financial (PWF.TO) I am holding each for the dividend as a value investor at 72 years with a 10 year outlook. You had suggested replacing them with BCE or something else in answer to someone else's question. Would that apply in my circumstance or should I just keep holding for dividend?
thank you
Stanley

Q: Hi,
I like the look of NFI at the moment. In order to free up some cash I was going to sell 1/2 of my position in XTC (so after the transaction I'd have a half position in XTC & a half position in NFI).
Your thoughts?
Thanks,
Gord

Q: The last KWH.UN dividend was paid on January 15th. Will the final dividend be paid on April 15th or at a later date, depending on the closing date? Thanks.
Q: When does Great Canadian Gaming report it's next earnings? Would you initiate a position before or after the next earnings report? I can say the GC Element Casinos in BC are always packed, with line ups for loyalty cards, the buffet, and free gifts.
Q: Any insight with management at SYZ? I can not find any reason behind the precipice drop over the last few days. I totally got it wrong and bought recently only to watch it fall off a cliff. I am out now too wild a ride for me. I am questioning whether your small caps are worth holding in these markets, no one gets them all right but this is getting painful.
Still listening but wondering if some of your response should take what seems to be a terrible space for cdn small caps into consideration and few more get out while can responses would be in order. lol ..sort of...rant is over.

Q: Do you think there is likely to be higher bid than the $19.15 now on offer?
Thanks, Bob.
Thanks, Bob.

Q: Hi
With the correction in the price of JWEL is it a good entry point or are there more issues behind the stock drop.

Q: Can you please offer your opinion on Grubs share price dynamic from yesterdays opening bell. From your previous statements on Grubs spend to grow their report shouldn't have been a surprise. So why the panic dive followed by sober opportunists. And how to cope with that? I sold at -20% only to watch the recovery in horror. You've often mentioned ignore the first hour of trading, but it was still down 10% at mid day, enough to sell by most peoples sell rules.
From a dazed and confused former Grub share owner.
Thanks Peter.
