Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: I know you like all of the above. As you look through2022 (so 12-18 month horizon) how would you rank each of the 3 stocks on a scale of 1-10 - and what relevant significant opportunity/risks do each face.

Thanks,

Terry

Q: Hello, I own equal amounts in ATD.B. DOL, WSP, TFII, ATA and NVEI. If you were to sell 2-4 and replace them with higher growth stocks like LSPD, GSY, BAM.A, or DND, without taking into account portfolio weighting, what would you do?

Thanks,

Q: I have owned Enbridge for a couple years and have done okay with it. Going forward I'm not sure there is much upside beyond the 6% dividend. I'm considering replacing it with a similar stock with the potential for a higher total return. I'm looking at BEP, NPI or AQN.
Would you recommend sticking with Enbridge, switching to one of these stocks or do you have another stock you would prefer?

Q: I am losing patience with LWRK. I bought it as as steady-eddy stock with some growth and a reasonable dividend. Although I'm still up some 26% ( in a non-registered account), I'm down 40% from a year ago. Please comment on recent earnings, headwinds from the recent rebranding, and any other factors that may be holding this stock back.

Thinking of foregoing the dividend and replacing LWRK with CSU or SHOP to make up for my paper loss. Is it time to bail? And if so, which of these two stocks would you recommend I purchase today? Thank you.

Q: I have been holding EGLX for quite some time. I view it as a long term hold while it establishes itself in the marketplace. I am concerned about the expenses though, in particular Share Based Compensation. To me, for a growing company this is too high relative to its Gross Profit. What is your opinion on this?
Secondly it has a lot of volatility which makes me think it is being day traded. Any thoughts on this?
Thank you.

Q: Good evening team,
I understand this answer may have been asked but I'm unable to locate your answer. If one was concerned about inflation what would be your sectors of choice to invest in? Additionally, can you kindly mention 5 stocks in both CDN and the US that may potentially help guard against inflation?

Cheers
Seamus

Q: There seem to be a number of CAD Hedged NASDAQ 100 ETF options. Which one(s) would you recommend for a couple of young investors, both of whom will be making regular, small contributions - one to an unregistered account and one to an RRSP? Was thinking of pairing with XEQT as both are looking for 100% equity exposure (in CAD). Your thoughts on this or other suggestions to pair with the NASDAQ 100 that may be more suitable would be appreciated. Thanks.

Q: High inflation numbers have come out--what do you think? Do you believe we are entering a higher inflation world, and if so, what (i) sectors and (ii) specific stocks would you emphasize for that? Thank you!
