Q: hi,

wondering which one of the noted companies would be your top choice for a long term hold? Would you be comfortable taking full position at this time?

Q: Hi,

I'll be managing my spouse's account in the next month or so. One of the reasons we'll be managing it ourselves it is that our current manager does not take a balanced approach to portfolios, thus she has about a 25% weighting in REITs. Below are the REITs she holds, can you prioritize them in terms of what to hold or sell? Each of the below is between 2 and 4% of our portfolio value and we don't need the income.

Northwest Healthcare
BTB REIT
Extendicare
Dream Office
Northview Apt
Slate Office REIT
One REIT (which is being bought out I understand)

Q: I own a small position in Karmin Exploration (@.30/share). How would you view today's news release? With Aripuana's projected estimates, is it possible to estimate what Karmin's 30% stake in Aripuana is worth? I understand that there is a lot of variables and if you can't answer this question, any other information or insight would be appreciated.

Q: Like many others, I really appreciate this site and the help you give us.

I have a half position in both Fiserv and Vantiv in my TFSA, mainly because I couldn't choose between them. I know you like Square and am considering adding it as well but it seems like it is in the same business as the other two. Is this correct?
Assuming it is, does one of the three stand out as being better or worse in terms of potential return or risk? Is there any point in owning all three?

Q: I considered a switch from DGC to KL when the US dollar started an upward trend. I did not make the move figuring earnings are earnings and we should convert earnings to Can dollar for an apples to apples comparison. Of course in hindsight I should have made the switch.
Was my viewpoint on the currency wrong in this case or was there another reason for the price moves in these two stocks? Could you talk a little more about how USD/CAN fluctuations might change investors viewpoints on our Canadian mining stocks and which companies can benefit or get dinged?

Q: I hold Metro in a diversified income portfolio where I reply on dividends and some growth to support my financial needs.I am wondering if you would advise selling and taking profit on Metro and replacing it with GC?Also could you explain from view Metro's recent news?
