Q: Hi,
You have been rightly complemented many times for
or your wise counsel recently. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the members of the group for their many varied questions. Both the questions and answers have helped me a lot.
For various reasons I have not visited the Asset Allocator section for some time and find that I am not as well 'balanced' as I should be. I am over invested in financials (BAM.A, TD, BNS, RY and SLF) and grossly underinvested in Consumer cyclicals. I am also overinvested in Canada. Could you please suggest 2-3 US and Canadian Consumer cyclical stocks?

Q: Hello,
just wondering in your opinion why the did street dislike today's earning release? revenue missed but is the sell off justified? i see in the previous question the company has been buying back shares, but that seemed to have little effect in the price movements for the stock lately.
lastly, would you be fine starting a 1-2% position for a long term hold today?

Q: Greetings 5i team,
I realize that these companies are not from the same sector but am looking at a hybrid recovery/mixed industries theme for the purchase of two or three of these companies.
How would you rank them in order of priority for a min 3 yr hold?

Q: I hold these 2 US stocks in a well diversified CAN/US portfolio. They have not performed as well as many of their peers and I am wondering if they are "best of breed" and worth holding or if there are better opportunities for growth elsewhere. Could you please comment on the future prospects of these 2 stocks and if its best to keep them or redeploy the funds elsewhere. If redeploy, what would you recommend as replacements in the US, sector allocation aside with a focus on growth

Q: You consistently state that Enbridge is one of your favorites. Why? In light of the current anti-carbon sentiment of the general public and current sadsack government I am seriously considering selling. Sure the dividend is great, but in 5 years the stock price has declined from $60 to $40. What could possibly happen to have the price appreciate back up to the $60 level?

Q: Would you please explain how Markets work outside normal trading hours. Understand that is an "After Hours" Market, as well as a "Pre-Market"?

Can the individual investor trade in these Markets & how are they accessed?

Q: I sold SIA a month ago, mainly for tax loss purposes. I can buy it again at roughly the same price, my thesis being that all the bad news is out, so it should not go down much further. My main question is: is the dividend fully funded, i.e. should we expect a cut in the future? This is for an income portfolio. Thanks.
