Q: Good morning,

Do you think all 4 or any of the 4 companies will see improved SP with the announcement that LNG will likely be announced next week - announcement being that it will be a GO!

Thanks,
Sean.

Q: Hi guys - I have owned BNP/OBE/CET for a few years now and as you know, it has been very painful. I am almost at capitulation on these three stocks, waiting for a turnaround that never seems to come. Am I better off selling these names and buying some of your ideas that have momentum or hanging on to these "dogs" and waiting for the turnaround?

Thanks - David

Q: Maybe - we're really going to see a sustained positive - ongoing movement in the Cdn. oil patch. That said, I'm looking short term (1 yr) for a bite into several undervalued stocks, particularly where leverage is large. Would appreciate your comments on these in order of preference as well as any others. Thank you.

Q: Could you please rank these stocks for growth assuming the sector ever improves.
Could you also do another list of just the dividend payers ranking income strength (safe and/or growing divi)

Thanks.

Q: 2 part question. 1. Listening to Nutell and Schacter on BNN and they are continually talking about the next cycle in energy and how a lot of the Cdn. Energy stocks have been beaten up and now is the time to buy these things and hold them for 3 or 4 years for significant gains. Acknowledge these guys are talking up their own books but do you agree with the thesis and if so, do you view more upside in natural gas or oil? 2. If you agree with the thesis, what do you think of the suggested companies? Also thinking on investing in a basket of 5 rather than an individual stock to lessen the risk. Do u agree? Thx

Q: Would you consider investing in any of these four companies at this time from a capital gain perspective? How would you rank them?
Thank you,
Bob

Q: What do you make of the latest report? Are they on the right track? I am underwater on my (modest) holdings. I sold half for a capital loss in Dec and so I feel content to hold the balance for the rest of the year, in which case I would possibly take the balance of the loss I have. The remaining impact on my overall portfolio is minimal. The real question is do I increase my holdings by about 30% to average down in anticipation of a positive return. It would bring my overall weighting to about 2.5%.
Thanks

Q: Hello,

Hello 5i. We hold some Bonavista in our modest energy sector holdings. To sell low after buying near its high (currently underwater by $20k) seems crazy, not to mention embarrassing. Yet, I'm mulling selling before end of year and replacing (probably also in energy?). My objective is a more reliable dividend payer to replace it with and one that should also respond well when the energy sector eventually comes back, as it always has. This change would be in our corporate account; please also advise if I'm right in understanding this loss could be carried forward and/or offset gains sold last year. Your thoughts and advice on these two points will be much appreciated. Thank you.

Q: Good Afternoon
I am getting ready to take some capital losses as gains offsets. I will not need to realize all of the above; but in what order should I use them and if I sell would you buy any of them back? The $ losses are about equal in all cases.

Thanks and enjoy the heat

Q: Looking forward to fall gas trade.
Looking for some small or midsize gas producers that have access to the Alliance Pipeline. Could you suggest 2 or 3 good gas stocks to buy and hold to Xmas. Would Bonavista be one.
Thank you for your response.
