Q: May I have your comments on Parex Resources Q2 release.
My reading is positive on all metrics, but I have no idea what estimates were or street expectations. A 6% drop on the release seems overdone? Am I missing something?
I have a small (1%), recent position, in my TFSA, so 6% isn't overly worrying, but does it illustrate growing unease among investors?

Q: Good afternoon guys,

I've been watching the REITs and utility/pipelines stocks take a dip - presumably due to interest rates. I remember a time when a stock like IPL yielded 8 to 10% and HR.UN not much behind that.

With interest rates due to rise in the near or medium term, how high to you see yields rising? Personally, I wouldn't be surprised to see the yields on these stock rise to 7-8%, maybe higher depending on market sentiment etc. Is there a way to guesstimate what yields companies like IPL and or HR.UN could ascend to with increases in interest rates?

Q: Hi Gang, I'm down around 18% on both, are brokers usually right with their outperform recommendations, saw this on my TD account this morning, also what time frame should I have before cutting them loose. I'm patient but usually after 6-12 months my patience runs thin. Thanks Anthony

Q: Hello 5i.

I bought these 2 stocks for our income portfolios within the last few month.
I bought Smart Reit at 32.77 and my wifes account ALA at 30.26
We're down about 7.5 % in each stock.
Each stock is about 5% of the income account.
Should I sell and find something better or sit back and draw the dividend??

Q: Hi Peter, Ryan, & Co.,
Keyera sold off today, I assume after the market reacted to the latest earnings reported yesterday. Can you comment on the most recent quarter's results? I've watched other energy infrastructure companies like IPL, ENB & ALA sell off considerably recently - are these great buys now, or is the entire sector in long-term decline?

Q: I took a 5.3% position in VET last January and as of today am down 30%. (My only other oil stock is TOG at 3% weight and down 16%) I like the European holdings and dividend of VET but am getting nervious. I don't think I should buy more while it is on this very long downtrend since I bought it. Do you still like VET? Any hope for a recovery? It seems to be making money at current European prices. Why is the stock treated so badly?
What is your recommendation? I appreciate your thoughts?
