Q: hi there,
I am not sure how MLPs are treated from a Tax perspective. Are they better held in an RRSP versus a TFSA or does it matter? What are the downsides of owning these?
Cheers

Q: Keeping in mind the extended length of the current bull market, the often bewildering ‘noise’ emanating from our once friendly neighbour to the south, and a myriad of other moving parts, I’m finding it difficult to identify Canadian companies that can survive and continue to grow over the long term. I would greatly appreciate it if you would share with me a list of dividend paying Canadian companies that are so well-managed and have such strong stories that you believe they have an excellent chance to continue to grow and flourish well into the future. I would consider these companies to become core holdings and held for 5 to 10 years. Hopefully, your choices would represent multiple sectors.
Q: I have noticed in the last few minutes of trading on the big US boards large trades in AAPL, AMZN, BRK, GOOGL and V to name a few of the stocks. Does this mean anything?
Q: I am having a hard time deciding which of these 3 companies to invest in. Can I please get your analysis on these companies? Would you consider any of them as a good buy, longer term. Can you rank them in terms of growth potential? Thank you

Would it be a material enough impact L or others? I have not to this point been able to see my way clear to investing an any of the producers which I sense you are in agreement. Q: I have small position in TRP and want to add more. I want dividend income and was thinking of selling it and substituting PPL or IPL for better dividends. Would you add to TRP or sell and buy one of the others instead?

Q: On April 19 I asked a question about renewal power and you offered bep.un as a likely candidate. My question was more along the lines of, if I am going to move from pipelines towards renewal power in my utilities sector allocations, are aqn and bep.un too similar to have a good representation. I suppose they are no more similar than, say, enbridge and transcanda would be in the same sector. But, would be interested in your take on this question in regard to constructing a renewable energies component under the utilities sector.
thanks once again for your great insight and help
