Q: I saw your recent answer on BPO preferreds. I have held these for a few years now. What do you see as the likelihood of BPO ceasing to exist ? There seems to be quite a bit of panic here.
Thanks,
Mark

Q: Recently there has been some work done on distortions introduced by excluding stock based compensation from the financial statements. According to one London fund manager adding back $1.8 billion of compensation expenses actually places Intuit's P/E ratio at 43 rather than 28 times, which on the face of it seems worrisome. What is your take on this?

Q: As with EGLX and STC, are you starting to lose confidence in AT as well, and might it not have much time left in the portfolio? What's your overall view of the company at this time?
Q: Skeena's press release re: Snip was positive, although all press releases have that spin, but market doesn't seem to like it, although volume is not high so far. Can you interpret the press release? Is the positive spin justified? Are you still positive on SKE?
Q: NTR's SP has been hit hard of late. Is this just a usual market panic or there is substance behind this set back. I'm sitting on the sideline with some cash and is debating if I should add to my current position (still up almost 65%) or add to my DIR.UN position (currently at an 8% loss).
NTR currently yields about 3% and DIR.UN about 5%. However I'm more interested in growth and less so than yield. Your advice? Thanks.

Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. (BIP.UN $42.51)
-
Brookfield Infrastructure Corporation Class A Exchangeable Subordinate Voting Shares (BIPC $54.36)
Q: Do you know the reason that BIPC and BIP.un have been heading in different directions since the beginning of February. I thought that they were supposed to mimic each other. I own BIP.un for the yield in a tax sheltered account but maybe I should switch. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Q: When I checked my investment accounts today I was surprised to learn all my Shaw shares were sold. I don't recall being informed in advance that this would happen. Is this normal, not to notify, just do it.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Q: I am confused about the buy out, too
many twists and turns for me to figure out. Can you please tell me the bottom line, what is the value per share of atc after the smoke settles, so I can make the decision to sell it now at market or wait until I get shares of the new companie(s).
Thanks team

Q: I see that NTR is at a one year low. Should I sell now and preserve the 22% gain I have in my RRSP?
Q: Hi Peter,
Why is GOOG up this week. I hold aGOOG for the past 1 year, with the recent rally, I am nearing break-even, is this the right time to get out ? or do you see a further upside ?

Q: I would appreciate an updated opinion on Helios Fairfax Africa. Thanks!
P.S. There is an extraneous double listing in your data base.

Q: what is going on?
Q: I read your response to a question on Peller with interest. I calculate the NBV to be about $6.13 per share. To me this makes it an intriguing buy for the long term. Comments?

Q: If you received a relatively large sum of money, $50,000.00, from the sale of Shaw shares, where would you be inclined to invest it?
Thank you.
Thank you.
Q: Do you think that the alliance of China, Russia and Iran and these countries as well as others starting to use currencies other than the US dollar for trading commodities is the beginning of the end for the dollar as the reserve currency? If so what are the implications for the value of the dollar going forward?
Q: I've held this for years, thinking it is not high risk, produces a good dividend, has no speculative money in the price, and that good news is not priced in. However the stock relentlessly goes down. Does it still have much downside risk? If not the dividend alone justifies keeping it.
