Q: Could you please compare and contrast CPH and VHI? Looking for key differences or attributes. Is one better than the other, or if starting a new position, would you just allocate funds 50/50?

Q: Good morning,
Perhaps I am over-thinking this, and I know there have been a lot of BCE-related questions recently. But I am starting to hear more regarding potential retaliatory measures by the Federal Government and the CRTC in response to BCE's recent layoffs, station closings and general expenditure cuts.
I wonder if you share this view, and if so, have a view as to what might be possible. Personally I find it somewhat "distressing" and distasteful that this is happening, as any retaliation will clearly impact longer-term price directionality and have significant dividend repercussions.
Thanks as always.

Q: Any lithium stocks you prefer?
Q: I have been getting monthly rrif withdrawals. I learned that I could do In kind withdrawals. I would think a yearly lump sum in kind withdrawal to a tfsa thereby saving the tax on the accumulated interest would be better. Of course most of this would be short term stable investments.
Second related question. I can do this but have to use the same firm which charges an annual fee of .95% with class F shares for funds ,ETFs are ok no stocks. This would take up most of my TFSA allotment? Is this a wise decision.?
Thanks for your advice. Tom

Q: SMCI has raised cash twice in the last 6 months, arguably much more cash than they really need which has increased speculation about possible acquisitions.
From their corporate presentations we know VRT have planned to scale production of a newly acquired liquid cooling technology over 40x through the course of this year. Seems like something that would take some up front capital investment. Does your crystal ball foresee VRT raising cash? Do they need to raise cash or is cash flow strong enough to grow the business?
Thanks.

Q: Hi Peter et al:
This is a big picture question based on the recent article on optionson5i Research and also based on Peter's expertise on Options trading. After all your i2i fund is based on this strategy, if I am not mistaken, right?
How does one screen for stocks , selling cash secured puts and Covered calls? Any particular favorite screeners that we can use who don't have fancy Bloomberg terminals? Your excellent article in 2015 talked about Covered calls (where is the promised follow up article?! :)) YouTube is filled with clips that promote either courses or their black box products. I want to develop a methodology that I can use in a systematic manner.
IF I want to protect myself for the expected and very possible downturn in the markets, how does one employ this technique?
Finally what are your stocks selection for such an approach at this time? ( Both for Selling cash secured puts and Covered call)
Feel free to deduct as many credits as you deem fit.
Many thanks.

Q: According to your weekly review received Saturday the Canadian dollar was 73.96 and the TSX ended the week up 1.6%
However according to Saturday’s Globe and Mail the Canadian dollar was 73.57 and the TSX closed at 21,984 or up .3% for the week.
In the future it may be better to postpone your weekly market view until the next market day as obviously there must have been a drop in markets during the closing hours.
