Q: This morning you recommended VRT us. I am wondering if there is a Canadian company that is in the AI infrastructure sector and trades on TSX. Also what is the best etf that can be bought on the TSX that focusses on AI infrastructure (US).

Q: Hi there,
Thanks for your past assistance.
I've done well with PRL and I'm wondering if Upstart has the same kind of trajectory.
Do you like this stock short and long term?
If not, can you please recommend an alternative?
Thanks!

Q: What are your thoughts on Maplebear (Instacart)?
Would you prefer DoorDash?
Or is Uber a better investment?

Q: Not a question, but a response to today's question on Lumine. There was a relevant news release yesterday from Incognito Software Systems: https://www.stockwatch.com/News/Item/Z-C!LMN-3641751/C/LMN. At the end of the item, Incognito is descibed as a Lumine Group company.
Q: I would like your thoughts on NTG Clarity Networks (NCI), a small company that has been profitable for a few years now, and is showing triple digit growth in revenue, EBITDA and profit for 2024, yet trading under 10 times earnings. Today they put out an interesting wrap up of their activity in 2024. Is their concentration in Saudi Arabia a big risk?
Q: If you hear that a private company may go public how would you keep an eye on this to see when that happens?
Thank you
Margaret

Q: I have been hearing a lot of people on BNN and other sites saying that the market is overpriced and due for a decline. I have looked at a few "investor sentiment" surveys online where the bearish sentiment is above average and increasing. How accurate are these indicators as contrarian indicators, i.e. that when bearish numbers are above average the markets are more likely to actually increase, and when bullish numbers are above average, the markets are more likely to decline?
Q: Hi there. I am wondering your thoughts on QQQI as a way to capture the 100 biggest tech growth names and get an outsized yield (currently 12%) versus just owning VOO or something similar. I would like to generate income over time, and this would also be a way I could have some exposure to options without having to really understand how they work.
Does this thinking make sense? If so, what possible portfolio weighting would you suggest? Thanks for any information you can provide.

Q: I am selling wgx to harvest a loss. With a 3 year time frame, would you rebuy wgx or buy lug?
Q: Thoughts during the current market cycle?
Q: If you were working for a company and were fortunate enough to have a defined pension plan, would you take on more risk when investing? If yes, what would that mean for concentration risk such as: maximum % of a single security, or maximum % in a specific sector?
Q: What are the metrics you focus on when evaluating asset managers?
In response to a question on Dec 20 you indicated BN is trading at a significant discount - could you pls. elaborate?

Q: My thoughts and prays are with the people of Los Angles. They are going to have to re build. Is there any forestry companies that could see a increase in sales. I presume it would be west coast forestry companies. US or Canadian compaines.

Q: For US taxable capital gains, US dividends and US withholding taxes, does the CRA allow a taxpayer to use the average foreign exchange rate for 2024 when preparing the income tax return for 2024???......Tom
Q: Hi 5i Team, could you comment on the likelihood of Evertz Technologies being a takeover target in the near future. I have this as a small loss in a TFSA and trying to decide if I should continue to hold for the dividend or sell for a potentially higher growth stock. Any replacement suggestions welcomed.
Q: You have previously stated the current price is good entry point for SJ. Given the political climate in the US and the threat of tariffs, would you consider this a buy right now or would you hold off?
Q: Hello 5i,
Can you explain where money flows too during risk-off periods such as 2007-2009 and 2022. With the risk of no declines in the Fed rate this year what would the 2025 scenario look like for equities? Other than shorts, are there sectors that can flourish in a 2007-2009 and 2022 scenario?
At which point is it favourable to look at short-term and 5-10 year Treasuries?
Thank you for your service.
