Q: Which of the above appeals the most for a five year high-risk AI play?

Q: I have always been puzzled by cyclical stocks. By way of example, I hold NTR in a non-registered account and have ridden it up (by 50%) and now down to 15%. Is the strategy for dealing with these stocks simply to ride out the bad times, knowing they will eventually cycle back? Or should I be selling on the way down and trying to figure out the best entry point when the stock starts to rebound? The matter is complicated, of course, by the tax consequences of selling in a non-registered account. Your advice regarding buying and selling cyclical stocks would be most appreciated. Thank you.

Q: I just wonder about the analyst upgrades and downgrades reported by the Globe&Mail today on NTR. Here is the exact quote:

* Berenberg’s Aron Ceccarelli downgraded Nutrien Ltd. (NTR-N, NTR-T -1.84%decrease) to “hold” from “buy” and dropped his target to US$49 from US$92. The average target on the Street is US$85.59.

If the downgrade is so substantial (U.S. $49 vs. average of U.S. $85.59) don't they required some additional explanation? These "experts" should know many investors would take the numbers at face value and perhaps make some eventually regrettable decisions. Maybe the Globe just can't include all the details in such a short blurb, but if the numbers are so material should either the analyst, or the Globe, provide more details?

What's your view on this? And would you by any chance have those missing details? Thanks.

Q: Hi Peter/Ryan, I've been holding EGLX in my RRSP account since you added it to your portfolio. My average cost is 3.92 for 2000 shares so what could be a good strategy for shareholders. Would you hold and wait for the recovery or sell and buy it back after the month. Is there any one strategy better than the other, hoping of course and thinking there is a future for the company and you wanted to hold it for the long term. Thanks

Q: Is it too late to get into NVDA? There is talk about AI being a new indusrtial revolution and NVDA is the significant chip player. That being said, the stock has already had a significant run upwards. Am analyst today suggests that NVDA could rise five fold in the next ten year. Is this one to buy, even with a higher stock price than preferred?

Q: NVDA shares have been increasing in value recently by leaps and bounds. I am happy to be up >100%. (A shout out here to 5i's excellent advice regarding this stock.) What is causing this meteoric rise...and, more importantly, is it sustainable? Wondering here if I should let this winner run (it's 6% of my total portfolio now)...or start to divest.

Q: The REIT has made an offer to purchase 12,500,000 units at 15.50 dollars per unit. It represents about 25% of the total REIT issued units. Since the price offered is much lower then my purchased price and the stock is held in a register account I do not feel too compelled to sell it. You have indicated in the past that the REIT is a valuable asset and likely with time it will recover.Is this still the opinion you hold ? Is the dividend would remain to be paid after such transaction by the REIT?

Q: I would like to invest in a number of Canadian companies that have DRIP eligibility. Keeping the need for diversity in mind, would you please suggest 10 companies that run DRIP programs that you believe would provide a me with a solid core of companies that can maintain their dividends and hopefully some level of capital gains on a long term basis. Q: What’s up with Verizon? It’s fallen by about half over the last few years, but doesn’t appear to have ever cut its dividend which is now north of 7%. Is it all debt concerns? Is this an opportunity currently or trying to catch the falling knife?

Q: I have been slowly accumulating ISRG. It has just gone above its 52 week high. Considering another small purchase based on hopefully continued momentum. Is it still a good long term plan or time to pause and wait for a pull back and better valuation? Thanks
