Q: Can I have an updated opinion on this company. Stock has had positive momentum and am wondering if there may be some further potential or has the increase just been due to the general oil and gas upswing in the markets.

Q: Hello 5i,
I have been holding GILD for quite a while. While the analyst seem optimistic , with and average one year target of 79 and a high of 100 dollars, the stock just seems to get no traction.
What is your opinion of this stock and management. Thank you. cheers

Q: Might the selling be a bit overdone here, or do the results justify this 25% haircut?
Q: Peter; Is ERF mainly a gas or oil producer? Thanks. Rod
Q: Thoughts on earnings and forcast for both ? Thank you.
Q: This stock still seems like a bargain even at current price. They beat the numbers by a nice margin and their outlook both short and long term was quite upbeat (I listened to the conference call).
Q: Is it possible to determine a price at which Zillow becomes attractive based on its original / remaining business? If so, what do you think this number might be?

Q: Hi 5i, pls comment on earnings release and any material info going forward. Thx
Q: CPX accounts for 2.31% and AQN represents 4.63% of my unregistered portfolio. I was thinking of switching AQN into CPX or rebalancing so that each would be equal. Would there be another dividend producing utility that you would prefer over these two. I already own BEP(2.81%), BIP(2.23%), SPB(1.74%)and F(1.56%). Perhaps putting some of the AQN into one of the latter four mentioned? I do like the nice dividend that CPX provides. I am retired and have a decent pension and my portfolio is geared to dividend income.

Q: I am hoping for three perpetual preferred shares trading near par with a yield of at least 4.5%.
Q: I have the impression that among the large Canadian banks you still favour BNS. Looking at a 1-year chart comparison, I see that even the usual laggards, CIBC and Laurentian Bank, have been doing better than BNS. By sticking with BNS, do you anticipate better performance going forward? (I own it and have not been overly impressed - what is the rationale for hanging on to it?)
Q: Mind C.T.I. seems to have a lot going for it for such a small firm. Please comment on your perception of its prospects and dividend reliability. Thanks!
Q: Would you start a position in Dye & Durham
Q: Do you know (or make an informed guess) the timelines of the ECN asset sale and the subsequent dividend payout? Thanks.

Q: Do you think BlackBerry (TSX:BB) has the management and product[s] to be worth buying today for the long term?

Q: I looked at the archived Q+A on MRS and see it's on a "short leash" in the growth fund.
Looking at the high level numbers, revenue is 141m but market cap is 44m? Seems like every other growth stock is the inverse of this. Would this not be a great take out candidate assuming someone does not own majority of shares? Even so, would seem to be a great take private candidate? What am I missing with this picture?
I am considering a small position as a flyer but wanted to hear your take one more time.
Many thanks.

Q: Expectations of sooner-than-expected rate increases have pushed short-term yields higher in recent days. If so, interest rates could be headed up faster than thought, with dismal consequences for stock prices and real estate speculators. Can you suggest a Canadian Bond EFT that would be suitable during this period of inflation? Cheers.
Q: What are the expectations for earnings after the bell today?
Q: I was recently employed by Tesla and have the option of RSU's or stock options with a 4 year vest - 1 year cliff. Options to RSU's are 3 to 1 multiple. Tesla is a bit different in that the number of shares/options are calculated near my hire date, thus my gains rely heavily on the stock going after my hire date.
Do you think after 4 years this stock will be up significantly (above $1600)? What do you think will happen over the next year? Thanks
