Q: Hello 5i,
The reality today is that the little guy was ripped off for years with MERS and fees. Now that this correction is unfolding with personal management of investments the next area of concern is Hedge Fund and Large Corporate consortium manipulation of the market in a "war" or to collaborate on stock pricing. It was fun to watch the little guy get some revenge but there seems to be an underlying criminal element to the "establishment" or "old boys" club when it comes to investing in the stock market.
What "IF" any investor (personal, hedge fund, or other large organizations) could "ONLY" buy and and sell a stock. . no shorts, calls, puts, etc. What would happen to the stock market?
Thank you again for helping the little guy navigate the stock market. 5i is the best value of any service out there.
Cheers,
Debbie and Jerry

Q: Knowing ROKU and PINS are in different business, their market caps are similar and share price performances in a 1 year are also similar. If just buy one, which one will you pick? Thanks.

Q: Since CSU and Topicus are somewhat similar, the latter with a European focus, would you think it to be able to take the same path to growth that CSU took years ago? In other words, do you look at TOI as being a mini-CSU with (hopefully) a similar story of acquisitions and long term success? Lastly, is Management of TOI considered "top notch"? Thanks as always!
Q: A big move up for Kraken this week on what I thought was a fairly minor announcement. Your thoughts on why the stock popped so much on big volume and would you be a buyer of this stock at $1 for a 2-3 year hold?
Thanks for the great service.

Q: What seems to be driving the recent extreme price swings?
Q: Good day everyone! With the sale of it's Chemical division PFB is now back to a pure play energy distributor. Currently owning a position in ENB this seems sufficient to me. Can you comment if I should stick with this one or suggest another Chemical/Industrial play here ? Thank you.
Q: With the demand for and pricing of lumber reaching new heights in North America, what are your favourite names in this sector?

Q: QBTC dropped 6% today and it still trades at a 6% premium to NAV today. With the advent of BTCC, do you see the premium disappear almost immediately? I was wondering if it made sense to exit QBTC right away while the premium still exists; and invest in BTCC. The capital gains tax hit per unit for me is currently equivalent to $7 or 10% of the unit price today. Capital gains would have to be paid sometime and does it make sense to pay it from the premium that would dwindle over time? Or do you think the premium would still exist and it is better to defer the gains for now?
I also see that 3iQ have an approval for a bitcoin ETF. How would that play into the equation?

Q: Hi 5i gang,
Can I have your take on the sale of SPB's Specialty Chemical Business? I also noticed that M&B has purchased an addition 3 mm shares, now holding 22.175 mm as of Feb 12th. Can you tell me what % they hold vs BAMs, and possibly what their end game is?
Thx

For IPO how do retail investors participate in them? Is there anyway retail investors can get their hands on hot IPOs?

Q: How do you determine / select which company to write a report on? Currently you have reports on a range of companies from little known micro/small caps to large cap blue chips, with large gaps in between. Some of these small caps may be interesting investments by why exclude the many other companies that re commonly invested in?
I believe it would be valuable to at least have reports on the TSX60 constituents or the top 100 by mkt cap. Better yet, why not report on all the companies listed on the TSX? It would make your service more valuable.
Related to the above, why would you select NR companies for your model portfolios? What's the reasoning for including NR companies in portfolios?
