Q: Greetings!

What ETFs would you recommend to make up someone's entire investment portfolio with the intentions to add to them monthly?

Thank you very much.

Q: Dear 5i Team!

I am sure like many millions you have been watching Presidet Trump's inagural address. Especially given the fact that the US market is closed toay because of MLK day!
Any takeaways from investment/trading points of view?

Canadian market is open and I see Oil has barely moved. (post Trump speech) Gold is down but to an alrming extent. CAD is slightly up! I am not sure if this is because the US markets are closed or because of "moderate" tone in Trump's speech. I didn't hear China or Iran ONCE! Neither did he bring his desire for the 51st state!

Anyway feel free to share your musings.

Q: Hello, I own above for my RSP... Obviously, I am disappointed with Telus and BCE and I am down some 25%.. I can understand BCE's poor management, but how about Telus? also in the dumpsters.
If I sell Telus and BCE, do you suggest that I add to one of the above as I want to keep my holdings to 10-12 stocks . Any suggestions?
Thanks
Carlo

Q: Hi, can I get your view on Intuit and how it might be affected by AI possibly in a bad way? I have a 35% gain in the stock with a 1% holding. Would you take that money off the table now and move it into something else or do you have a more positive outlook on it. I welcome your suggestions on stocks or sectors you might favour going forward from here. Thank you!

Q: I have been following KMI for some time. I did own it at one time but sold it on a pop and have been waiting for an opportunity to get back in. Since then, it has been having a good run while paying a substantial dividend. I am wondering if you think there is still opportunity in this name or if I have missed it and should look elsewhere.
Your thoughts will be appreciated along with any alternative suggestions.

Q: BEP.UN is now down close to my ACB and have owned it off and on since it IPO'd in various accounts. Knew it quite well before it became public. Now is 2.5% of total portfolio in my Non-reg account and last took profits in 2021 at its over bought height.. Thinking of selling it with very small gain and switching to BEPC which would bring with it the DTC but add to the claw back on my OAS. But it would also get rid of one entry on the 1135 form filing. Anything else you see I am missing?

Q: Hi,
With insurance claims due to climate change appearing to increase rapidly, what is your take on the prospects of Intact as a property and casualty insurer. My thought would be that property insurance is a shrinking market as insurers appear to abandon markets due to increase risk (e.g., Florida and California). Even locally insurers are starting to refuse to cover properties against flooding. What is the long-term business case for investing in IFC? Thank you. Michael

Q: In doing some research I came across Zenatech (ZENA). It seems to have gone public very recently. I was wondering if you could give your thoughts on the potential of this company and exactly what they do. Is it a decent higher risk investment with some potential or would higher risk dollars be better deployed elsewhere?
Thank you as always for the great service you provide.

Q: Thanks for the great service over the years. I would like to know your opinion on these two companies and what each of their possible futures look like as the Ai craze and other chip needs keep them in the headlines. If you had to own 1 for the next 5-10years which would you pick and why? I have in the past owned NVDA bought & sold successfully. I currently hold GOOG and AMD with AMD being a bit of a let down so far. Side note if you are interested in a good read or audio book the coming wave by mustafa suleyman has been very eye opening and is a factor in me relooking at these two companies.

Q: Hello Team,

I currently do not have any pure dividend stocks and I'm looking at purchasing one to start. I did a bit of research and came up with the above list, are you able to rank them in order plus add your 2 favorites into the list (if they are not already included). Looking at a minimum of a 6% yield with the possibility of say a 30% return over the next 3-5 years. (setting my goals high). Thanks!

Q: Let us say we have 2 companies, one called "ABC" and one called "ABC Dividend" which pays 4% over the year. At the end of the year, the dividend one would be down because of the dividend it paid for the previous 12 month period but you would have the dividend money.

ABC at the end of the year would be higher because it did not drop because it did not pay a dividend.

To me, I see that a dividend really does not benefit you. Why do people want dividend stocks so much when the example I used shows there is no benefit? Thank you.
