Q: Howdy! The Kiki Delaney chapter in "Market Masters" has inspired me to invest more in Quebec-based equities. I already have BCE, CAE, CNR & GUD. Please rank the top 3 in this list (or other Quebec-based equities that I didn't list) to add right now purely on long-term (3-5 yrs) appreciation (value + dividends).
Thank you,
David L
Q: What do you think about the recent acquisition and shares being offered at 7:45. I already have a half position, would you recommending adding at this time?
Thanks

Q: My first tender offer! TRC Capital Corporation wishes to purchase 3,000,000 shares of OTEX at a share price of $38.50 which represents a discount of slightly less than 5% over the current price. My preliminary research suggests TRC is known to have made a number of these discounted offers. You comment please. Thanks!
Q: Due to a 200+% rise in share price BIP.UN now comprises 21% of my portfolio. As this is a world wide diversified business, is this something I should pare down and if so How much ? The stock continues to perform well and I am having a hard time justifying selling it in favour of diversification.
Q: Good day, could I get your opinion of this? "Mainstreet Health Investments Inc". Is it a likely play on Health care/aging demographics, etc?

Q: I don't know if you can answer this, but I file an 8840 for the IRS as a snowbird to prove a closer connection to Canada (my home and citizenship).
Because I own more than $100,000 worth of U.S. securities, I am beginning to be worried about having a too large percentage of holding in U.S. domiciled companies.
If I own an ADR of a European company, on a U.S. exchange, do I have to list it as part of my U.S. exposure?
My guess is no, but I would sure appreciate some clarity.
Q: After a fair amount a reading on the energy sector from a macro perspective, I've decided to start putting money back into oil stocks. However, I'm uncertain about which sub-sector to invest in, namely refiners, exploration and production, pipelines, service companies, etc. Which sub-sector would you consider has the best potential for the next decade and which companies in your preferred sub-sector do you like the most? I'm open to Canadian, U.S. and global companies.

Q: TAG Oil had a disappointment on its Cheal-D1 in September and the price has pulled back. Do you have a time frame for the next significant events planned by the company? Could you give me your updated opinion on the stock in general?
Q: I have not paid much attention to robotics and Artificial int. I found this US ETF and seems to be doing well.I was thinking 5% holding $9.000. in this area as I do not much tech in portfolio. Is there a comparable Canadian ETF and does 5i have any other stocks to compare with this ETF.Thank's 5I

Q: I'm hoping you might be able to help me understand why Broadcom (AVGO) seems to be so highly regarded by the investment community, as a strong buy. When I review the stock on the TMX website there is an indication that this company's shares are currently trading at a price to earnings multiple of 223.6 to 1. That seems to me to be an insanely high valuation yet the Research tab indicates that 21 analysts rate the company as a strong buy, 1 as a moderate buy and 1 as a hold.
Do you have an opinion about this company and its future prospects? Do firms in this industry typically trade on the basis of some other metric than P/E? Given that I hold nothing else in this space within my portfolio currently, would you recommend that I take a 5% position in this firm at this time?
Q: Hello 5i team, My wife and I, retirees, hold a fairly conservative portfolio, including the listed stocks above in our TFSA's. Our overall asset mix is 5/45/50 cash/fixed income/equities. If (in view of the buoyant markets) we chose to increase our cash position, which 1 or 2 of the listed stocks would you suggest we sell? Thank you.
Edward
Q: Approximately when would you consider buying companies that may have been oversold from tax loss selling? Can you list 3 candidates that may be oversold with chance to rebound in 1H/18??
