Q: Your comments on the 2016 results, please, as well as the new acquisition. Does this explain today's drop?

Q: I own them both in significant quantity. Vsn trading about $18.16 and Ppl at about $42.56. Do you see any arbitrage trade between the two at this level or do you have any comments about this first day of trading after the news?

Recently you gave good analysis as to why FLEX retreated despite a strong QR. You stated it was because they lowered future earning from $0.30 to $0.28-$0.24 for the next quarter. You also stated that you preferred CLS over FLEX. If FLEX is forecasting continued growth for the next 2 years and CLS appears more stagnant...I am wondering why you think CLS has more potential going forward. Or do you just think FLEX will have a misstep. Please clarify. Your analysis is invaluable to us retail investors as we search for facts before we make decisions!

Q: What are your thoughts on this takeover by PPL? It is a good long term move for the company? Pros and Cons please.

Q: Advice re the Pembina/Veresen deal. VSN is up and Pembina is down. Would you sell VSN and then purchase PPL with the proceeds on the hope it returns to its original price.

Q: Would you buy Pembina now knowing about the up-coming deal with Veresen. I see Pembina is down today so has it become a good investment buy for a long term hold and dividend income security?

Q: I own both companies, should I sell Veresen or take the .4287 PPL exchange,either of those options would take me over a 5% allocation in my portfolio. If I sold the VSN and wanted another pipeline company who would recommend.

I am looking for investments that distribute primarily through Return of Capital, such that the cost base can be ground down to a point where it may make a lot of sense to donate the shares to charity, shelter the entire gain while having extracted most of my cost base. I imagine that most of these things will be in the REIT space, but I am open to anything.

Q: These are some stocks in my Margin Account that don't pay a dividend . In my RSP, I have BCE , ABT , BPF.UN , and REITS and royalty trusts that pay great dividends .I have a fortune sitting in my RSP that keeps on growing due to dividends but I am 67 years old with a pretty low income . I am thinking that I be rotating these names and increasing my dividend income rather than increasing my RRIF liability in a few years ? Q: Back around the New Year, there was much concern about TOY and the reaction to consumers complaining about the Hatchimals they purchased as gifts. 5i suggested patience and reiterated their confidence that TOY management would resolve the issues. I thought, therefore, that it might be worth noting the following comments made by the lawyers for the plaintiffs who had filed a class action lawsuit that was withdrawn a could of weeks ago.

"Mark Geragos, the lawyer who voluntarily withdrew the law suit on behalf of the plaintiff added, "Spin Master's proactive response was very successful and, to date, they have either responded to all of the outstanding questions or provided replacements, or refunds to consumers. We applaud Spin Master for the highly effective manner in which they have dealt with their customers. Given these factors, we have decided to voluntarily withdraw our class action."

This speaks highly - again - to the quality of advice we members receive from you. TOY is now trading at all-time highs.

I'm looking at a possible upgrade for our portfolio, as almost all energy names are down (and substantially), to date. Please rank the following, best to worst, using dividend, safety and growth in that order as criteria. This is a long term hold, so > 3 years. And would ALA be a better fit in the Utilities sector than energy?

Q: What do you think of Street Capital Bank (SCB)? It's been tarnished by the HCG brush, although SCB seems more conservative, especially as it went through a multiyear process to get its banking licence, just this past December. Thus, I would think that things would be in optimal financial and operational order.

Also, I would think that they would actually benefit from picking up business from those fleeing Home Capital.

The share price has already really come off significantly.

How do you see things?
