Q: I will have to claim USA 10K profit in CDN dollars so my question is I already paid taxes on $10k. If I decide to convert all my USA holding to CDN dollars will I end up paying double taxes? Plus how do I calculate USA dollar cost on my profit?
Thanks for the 5i research - I have reduced my losses to almost zero.

Q: For a stock price to double in 5 years requires an average gain of about 15% compounded, annually. Would you please rank these 12 stocks in order for the likelihood, in your opinion, they will double in price in the next 5 years. Roughly how many of these 12 would you expect to achieve that target? Assuming no major long term market melt down which would preclude good stock performance over this period. CTS, DCBO, DND, DOO, ECN, GOOS, GSY, KXS, MG, NVEI, PHO, TIXT.
Q: I hold 2,000 shares of BPY.UN in my RRIF. Is there any indication as to the yield on the BPY Preferred units (0.7268 per BPY.UN unit) will be? I need a high cash flow to meet the required annual withdrawal from the RRIF. If I sell the BPY.UN shares where can I find a similar yield for my RRIF?
Brookfield plans to start a Global Impact Fund. Are there any details available and when is expected to open?

Q: I have been looking at these two ETFs. The top 10 holdings in VDY look like buy and hold companies. It seems a bit heavy on banks so really wondering about your short-term outlook on CDN banks for the rest of the year?
HGRO has had a good run in 2020 and certainly not expecting as spectacular in 2021, but do you think it will continue to do reasonably well (your thoughts would be greatly appreciated please? I realize you do not have a crystal ball).
Do you think the combo of these two would be a good idea say 50:50? The idea would be for growth as remainder of portfolio is with you balanced ETF model portfolio.
Thanks so much.

Q: As retired farmers we have owned Caterpillar, Cummins and John Deere in our industrial sector for many years. We prefer companies to which we can understand and relate.
Have you suggestions of additional larger solid U.S. industrial companies with growth potential? We also are shareholders of aerospace sector companies NOC and RTX.
Thank you so much for your great service!!!

Q: Looking for a diversifier for a portfolio that currently skews toward Tech. Could I have any up-dated thoughts on NOA post most recent Feb/21 earnings ?
Thank-you.
Thank-you.
Q: In answering another question you indicated price appreciation was likely already baked in for MRNA however at 6x earnings, a huge cash position, people not willing to get vaccines and the probability of ongoing covid variants, is this stock not a screaming buy? Your analysis please.
Q: A computer science friend of my in Israel mentioned Playtika (PLTK) a recent IPO involved in game development. Apparently it has a very capable team. Can you offer your view on the company.
Your insight is much appreciated, Peter

Q: I have an RESP for our 3 year old son that we opened a couple years ago. Current value is about $35K and comprised of BCE, BIPC and ENB in about equal values plus a slightly higher amount in BPY.UN. Thinking about selling BPY now deal with BAM is finalized and considering adding a couple of more growth oriented companies as focus was more dividend/stability before. Cdn or US stocks or ETF's are fine as options.
Q: Hi 5i,
Are the skies starting to clear for Air Canada? The one remaining cloud that I can see is the potential Fed bailout? I don’t hear much about it anymore. I am thinking that the Feds don’t want to bail out the airlines but hope they make it to the other side with the vaccines rolling out. I think the trade-off was a full refund of fares, which the airlines have resisted so far. What are your thoughts on this for AC? I have some shares but am wondering if this will be a catalyst or not?
Thanks again.
Dave

Q: Lot of investors with astronomical results pick up good companies way earlier than others. I am following some people on Twitter with results of like 1000% in one year. How do you identify these companies early when they have minimal revenues but something in demand. What would be the top 5 go to stocks in this category in Canada and US which no one really knows much about and with not much analyst following?
Q: Hello,
Could you asses how much is the recent ICHR stock run-up based on expected fundamentals vs pure speculation?

Q: Hello,
The last question about this company was in October 2020. I'm curious to know your thoughts on this one now that the the GMP shares tender is a few months behind us. I note that a director purchased $260,000 worth of shares in late December at just under $2.00/share.
