Q: I would appreciate your opinion on GIC. The company states record results for 2022 and a positive 2023 outlook. Do you concur? I hold it for the dividend with some growth. Thank you.
Q: Hi 5i Team,
I'd like to know the difference between ZJK and ZJKU please. The AUM is very different but the prices aren't that far apart yet appear to be in different currencies.
Also would you have a preference between these two and XHY?
Thanks as usual for your great help.

Q: While I know you are not tax experts, but if a Canadain receives a dividend from ET, is it subject to weithholding tax by US authorities? If so, what is the percentage withheld and is it more beneficial to hold the stock in TFSA or in a taxable account. Thanks
Q: BIR shows a div payment of 20 cents per qtr for a current yield north of 9 percent. what is the revenue assumption made by the company in order to maintain 80 cents per year? what the payout ratio based on an annual div of 80 cents? with little debt on the books do you consider BIR a good investment for investors seeking reliable future income thanks Richard
Q: If you were very concerned about the economy (think 1920's) and especially the Canadian economy (Liberal endless spending); and had sufficient income from real estate and private investments to fund your life style until the end of ones life, would it make sense to convert ones stock portfolio to something like PSU.U? I have done very well on my stock portfolios over the past decade, except for past 15 months. I am concerned that there are many factors that North American public corporations have to deal with and that profit are being pushed aside to meet their corporate goals.
Q: I would like to add to US consumer discretionary and currently hold XLY. Which of the two names would you recommend? Thank you.
Q: In have TXF in my registered account and its dividend has been high @12%. Recently along with tech stocks it has lost over 20% of its value. I want to know where can I find how the high dividend is generated from its components income, capital draw down and options trading (about 30%). And would really like your view of this ETF.

Q: Please translate your response to the possible short squeeze on Feb 24. I do not understand what you are saying. Thank you
Q: Hello 5i
For NTI you have PE at 5.6 and price at $76.87. This would give the EPS at $15.37 Yet you state EPS at $5.00. Why the difference?
Also, for FSZ, using the net income of $58,499 and dividends paid of $88,183 the retention ratio is -50.74. However using Operating Cash Flow of $143,814 there is retention ratio of 38.68%.Thus in the first instance, to cover the dividend there would be increased debt but in the second instance all seems well. Do you prefer using Cash Flow in this instance? Please take as many credits (if any) as required
Thank you
Stanley

Q: Eric Nuttall was very bullish, almost feverish, on oil (represented by the companies above) while being down on natural gas. To what extent do you agree?
Q: Does PSTG have a good pathway to growth? Is this a good entry point?
Q: Greetings I have held NPI in my portfolio for many years. During the past 6 months or so, I have see a steady decline in price. It represents about 5% of the portfolio, and is still much higher than the origianal purchase price. Do you feel prices will increase again over the next year or two, or should I sell it?
Q: What do you believe would be the long term affect on Enbridge stock if it was loose the use of Line 5 running through Michigan either because of a legal stoppage or a major pipe line leakage. Thanks … Cal

Q: 5i
I was surprised by the sale of the Tonder Denmark plant. I could not find any mention of a potential sale in any of the previous quarterly reports or news releases. Could you speculate on the reason for the sale. I can only think that they either need cash, company had $141 million last quarter, or they don't think this will be worthwhile endeavour. Can you elaborate if possible? Thanks
Kenn

Q: Hi Guys
will the default level not go through the roof on all these Corporate Bonds in the next few years when they have to re issue debt at much higher levels ? and wont a recession really contribute to high bankruptcies.
What kind of a correction in this ETF can we expect, something along the lines of 30 %, Algonquin Power was sure hit hard with higher floating rates.
Thanks Gord

Q: hello 5i:
can I have your thoughts regarding on receiving income from the 2 names above? Recognizing that the FTS shares pay a 6% dividend and the CSU shares a 7.2% dividend, can you discuss safety, trading volumes, and most important, the outlook for the future. If YOU were looking for income, which would you prefer?
thanks
