Q: 2 Canadian stocks that I have been following and they are doing quite well are NNO and PAT ($1.78). How do you like them? Also, a U.S. stock I have has been on a down trend for some time. It is called ALB. In the Lithium market. It was mentioned by you some time ago. Is it a keeper? Thank you. Dennis

Q: 1 - Could you please comment on PEO latest quarterly results and it's ongoing potential as a growth stock.
2 - What do you think of Pollard Banknote at it's current price for a purchase at this time?

Q: Morning,

The stocks mentioned are examples of Canadian stories that remarkable runs in recent years. PHO had an amazing 2017 and obviously CXR made those who sold high a ton of money. Same with CRH. Question is, for 2018, can you name 3 Canadian stocks that may be under the radar but could emerge as darlings once better known? Specific interest would be in stocks with proven assets or concepts more so than those waiting for a stroke of luck like a drug approval or patent.

Thanks!

Q: Hi there,

I haven't seen any coverage of this until something on a popular investment site the other day. LAS.A has gone from $80 to $256 in 5 years but seems to be completely unknown. It was just touted as a great growth stock for the next year. Does it offer value at $250/share? Any catalysts for growth to continue? Finally, Buy, sell or hold and why?

Thanks!

Q: Hi 5i,
I currently own 23 stocks (non reg. and RSP) including the following which in some cases I've owned for over a decade: HR.un,AP.un, T, BCE, H, IPL, ENF, VET, ESN, CSU, GIB.a, ATD.b, WSP, TD, FIE. Which of these above positions would you consider candidates for replacement considering 2018 market conditions(rising interest rates, NAFTA, etc.) And, regardless of specific selection criteria, how would you rate the following replacement candidates or others: AQN, PKI, ERF, PBH, AFN, CM,KXS, PHO?

Please consider # of credits you deem appropriate.
Thanks,
Dean

Q: I know this is a difficult question, but can you think of some companies where downside is limited, but upside is large? I think GUD might be one since they have so much cash - are there other companies with similar attributes?

Q: I am looking for low priced high growth Canadian companies that I want to buy in TFSA in the new year. Volatility, risk factors are NOT relevant. For about 11k. (5500x2) I bought PHO and BBI after reading your responses to some of the subscribers in the Q&A section. Any other names that you would suggest? ( Being seniors our core holdings are in the ETFs in different sectors and safe stocks like XIC, VDY, VIG,MGV,XEG,GLD,XGD etc., ). So, this 11k can be allocated to risky micro or ultra micro caps and I am ok with some losses if I can score a few three or 4 bangers!
My membership has been extended to March 2020 which shows my confidence in you! You need to find a way to synchronise my CMS and 5i subscriptions though!
Wish you all Happy, Healthy, Peaceful and Plentiful New Year!

Thank you for all your prompt, thoughtful and candid answers to such varied questions from so many different type of members.
Truly amazing.
Mano.
